Final Fantasy Resonance has 51 consumable items. They cover healing and MP, status cures, revival, throwing weapons, elemental scrolls, field items, and three Golden Shells that exist only to be sold.
Quick answer: A Potion or Antidote Herb costs 100 gil, while a Mist X-Ether is priced at 30,000 gil. Most goods resell for roughly 25% of their purchase cost.

Healing and MP items
Healing comes in three tiers, and each tier has a single-target version and a Mist version that hits every ally at a much higher price. MP items follow the same pattern.

The Healing Spring’s description reads “Gradually restores HP.” The Elixir reads “Fully restores HP and MP.” and the Megalixir reads “Fully restores HP and MP of all allies.” Neither elixir has a shop price.
Status cures and revival
Each basic cure handles one ailment. The Remedy covers everything except KO, which needs a revival item. For what each ailment does in battle, check the full breakdown of status effects.

The Remedy’s description is “Cures all status ailments other than KO.” The Phoenix Down’s is “Revives a KO’d ally with 25% HP.” The Phoenix Pinion doubles that to 50% HP for ten times the price.
Throwing knives, shuriken and scrolls
Throwing any of these at one enemy deals physical damage: the Shuriken (1,000 gil), Fuma Shuriken (3,000 gil) or Chef’s Knife (5,000 gil).
Each of the six status knives inflicts a status ailment along with physical damage. Throwing one increases its power.

Scrolls are available in Flame, Ice, Lightning, Water, Wind and Earth. Tier I is priced at 1,000 gil, and tier II at 2,500 gil. Every scroll has the description “Deals [element] magic damage to a single enemy. Power increases and targets all enemies when thrown.”
Use a scroll to exploit a weakness when no party member can cast the matching spell. Check the enemies list for enemy weaknesses.
Tents, Smoke Bombs and other field items
The Tent (300 gil) “Completely restores HP and MP when used at a save point or on the field map.”
The Smoke Bomb also costs 300 gil, and it “Allows the party to flee from escapable battles.” In the Felicitas item shop it shows “Remaining: 3”, so its stock can be limited.
Items you can’t buy in shops
Several consumables never appear on a shop list:
- Elixir and Megalixir
- X-Ether and Mist X-Ether
- Ice Scroll II
- Healing Spring
- Every status knife except the Knife of Blind and Knife of Silence
Elixirs, Megalixirs, X-Ethers, Healing Springs and Mist X-Ethers turn up in treasure chests. Elixir and Healing Spring are also enemy drops, and the Cactuar drops a Healing Spring.
The three Golden Shells have no other use, so sell them. The Small Golden Shell “Can be sold for a decent price.” and goes for 2,500 gil. The Golden Shell “Can be sold for a high price.” and fetches 5,000 gil. The Large Golden Shell “Can be sold for an exorbitant price.” and brings in 10,000 gil. All three are stolen from Gil Snappers: the Small Golden Shell from Gil Snapper and King Gil Snapper (and as a rare steal from Mini Gil Snapper), the Golden Shell as a rare steal from Gil Snapper, and the Large Golden Shell as a rare steal from King Gil Snapper.

To sell items, open the Sell tab at a shop. Most items fetch roughly 25% of their purchase price, rounded down, though the rate varies: an Ether bought for 500 gil sells for 120.

Don’t sell an Elixir or Megalixir; each brings in only 10 gil. Sell the Golden Shells for worthwhile returns.
Chapter 1 item shops in Mitra and Felicitas
The item shop in the Town of Mitra stocks four items:
- Potion (100 gil)
- Phoenix Down (200 gil)
- Antidote Herb (100 gil)
- Smoke Bomb (300 gil)
The Felicitas shops carry those four plus Mist Potion (500 gil), Eye Drops (200 gil), Smelling Salts (300 gil), Unicorn Horn (500 gil) and Tent (300 gil) at the item shop. There’s no Hi-Potion or Ether there, so stock up on Potions and Mist Potions before moving on.
