How to Find Secret Blocks in +1 TNT Mining (Roblox)

What makes a secret spawn, how to blast down to it, and what each completed area index pays out.

What makes a secret spawn, how to blast down to it, and what each completed area index pays out.

Secret blocks are the rarest drops in +1 TNT Mining, and they are the only thing standing between you and a completed area index. Each mining zone holds exactly one, it sits at the very bottom of the shaft, and it only appears after the game announces it. Everything else in the game — training, TNT tiers, rebirths, Mine Luck — exists to get you enough Damage to reach that floor before the blast runs out.

Quick answer: Wait for the on-screen alert naming an area, teleport there, blast all the way to the mine floor, and walk over the secret block. Collecting it completes that area’s index for +0.5x Damage.

Secret blocks by area and what each index pays

Every area tracks six block types in the Index menu. Five of them drop from normal mining. The sixth is the secret, and it never shows up in a routine blast.

AreaSecret blockIndex reward
ForestBedrock+0.5x Damage
DesertSunstone+0.5x Damage
JungleSpirit Stone+0.5x Damage
ArcticFrozen Heart+0.5x Damage
OceanAbyssal Crystal+0.5x Damage

Filling all five indexes puts you at 30/30, which pays another +0.5x Damage on top of the individual claims. The secrets are also worth serious money when you sell them — Bedrock went for $12.6M on an early-game account, while the Abyssal Crystal sold for $96.1 Qa deep into the Ocean.

How a secret spawn is announced

You do not hunt for a secret on demand. The game posts a notification naming the zone — something like “A Secret bag has spawned in Desert!” — and a glowing marker appears in the world. That alert is your trigger. Until it fires for an area, the sixth index slot stays empty no matter how much you mine.

The block itself sits on the deepest layer of that area’s mine. A shallow blast will never expose it, so a secret run is really a question of whether your Damage can carry a detonation from the surface down to bedrock level in one trip.

The Shop sells a Secret Tracker, which is worth a look if you keep missing spawns while you are off in another zone.

Damage requirements: training, TNT, and rebirths

Building Damage before the blast

Damage is built by clicking with a TNT equipped, or by standing on a pad in the Training area and letting it tick up automatically. The number you build carries over when you swap TNT blocks, so nothing is wasted when you upgrade. A TNT block’s own base Damage stacks on top of whatever you have trained.

Pets apply a passive multiplier to training gain, and that multiplier works on both manual clicking and the automated pads. Desert Eggs cost 40 Egg Shards and hatch pets like the Rare Camel (+0.2x Damage); the Jungle Egg runs 200 shards for pets such as the Rare Monkey (+0.4x) and Epic Elephant (+0.6x).

TNT tiers worth buying

TNTBase DamageCost
Green Uncommon+3$100
Silver Epic+300$4M
Obsidian Epic+2.4K$500M
Springy Legendary+5K$2B
Speedy Legendary+20K$10B
Fire$250B
Toxic$20T
Storm$100T

The jumps between tiers are enormous, which is why a single secret run in a late area can fund several purchases at once. Obsidian is the realistic breakpoint for clearing the Desert floor consistently; Speedy and above are what you want for Jungle and deeper.

Rebirths and paid shortcuts

Rebirth resets your Damage and level to 1 but grants permanent Damage and Cash multipliers, and it unlocks extra training pads with stronger multipliers. Rebirth 1 gives 1.5x Damage and 1.2x money; by Rebirth 5 that is 5.3x Damage and 2.2x money. Taking the reset before a secret hunt is usually faster than grinding through it.

Two optional gamepasses compress the early climb. The Atomic TNT pass costs 288 Robux and doubles the Damage of your best owned TNT while adding +1 to explosion size. The Magma Training pad, also 288 Robux, multiplies training gain by 25x while you stand on it — enough to go from a fresh rebirth back to Level 50 in a couple of minutes. Neither is required; the game can be finished without them.

Upgrades that decide whether you reach the mine floor

The Upgrades station is where a secret run is won. Four Cash upgrades matter, and one of them caps out.

  • Placed TNT — how many TNT you can set at once, maxing at 6. More simultaneous charges means a deeper single blast.
  • Carried TNT — your block inventory cap. Cap out too early and you leave the secret layer behind.
  • Collection Range — pulls fragments in from further away, which matters in a deep crater.
  • Speed — cuts the walk between training, mine, and Sell station.

Mine Luck is a separate per-area upgrade that raises the rarity of what you pull out, and it maxes at 2x. Forest Mine Luck maxes for $108K; the Desert version costs $324M. Buy it in the area you are hunting in, since it does not carry across zones.

Running the secret dig

When the alert names an area, open the Index menu and confirm which slot is still empty there. That tells you exactly which block you are digging for before you commit a trip.
Equip your strongest TNT and top up Damage on the highest training pad you have unlocked. Rebirth multipliers and any active potion apply on top, so stack them before you leave the lobby.
Use the Teleport button to move to the named area. Returning to the lobby refills your TNT supply, so arrive with a full load.
Place TNT in the highlighted spots on the mine face — the blue boxes mark valid positions — and use all of your placements rather than detonating one at a time. Then switch to the flint and steel and ignite them.
Drop into the crater, collect the fragments, and repeat the placement cycle on the newly exposed layer. Keep pushing down until you break the deepest layer of the shaft, which is where the secret block sits.
Walk over the secret block to pick it up. With Collection Range upgraded it will magnetize toward you rather than needing an exact step.

If your Carried TNT cap fills before you reach the bottom, the run stalls. Sell and come back rather than wasting placements on a shaft you cannot finish.

Confirming the index completed and claiming the reward

Head back to the lobby and open the Index menu. The area you just cleared should read 6/6, with the secret block filled in on the final slot. A claim option becomes available on that completed index — take it, and the +0.5x Damage multiplier applies permanently across every area, not just the one you finished.

Then sell the haul at the Sell station. The confirmation banner shows the total for the batch, and a secret block inflates that number well beyond a normal trip. That Cash is what funds the next area gate — Desert unlocks for $12M, Jungle for $2B, Arctic for $1T — and each new zone brings another secret to chase.

Because area gates, TNT prices, and upgrade costs all scale together, the practical loop is to secure a secret the moment its alert fires, claim the Damage bonus, and let the larger explosion pay for the next tier. Miss the window and the block stays out of reach until the game spawns another one.
