A Lieutenant Hunt works well in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ when you play alone. You climb a tower, mark a lieutenant, kill him, and get out with his dog tags. The tags bank cash the moment you exfil. Anything valuable in your backpack can then be sold back at the FOB.

Mark and kill a lieutenant solo

One Lieutenant Hunt Tower stands in the South Korean Border Zone. You can reach it by boat up the Hajin River and then on foot from Cheongun Village. On the route below, the tower points to Jin-Tae, who sits inside Heavenly Luck Casino in Cheongun Village with a HIGH threat rating.

Clear the AI around the base of the Lieutenant Hunt Tower. Then climb the ladder. Your side op tracker reads “Climb the Lieutenant Hunt Tower” while you do this.

At the top, use the console prompt “LOCATE LIEUTENANT” (X on controller). The side op changes to “Download Intel To Locate Lieutenant”, then to “Reach the Lieutenant’s Location”, and the lieutenant appears on your map.

The marked lieutenant can be about 130 m away or several hundred metres off. Plan your route in and your way out before you commit.

Step 3 (optional): Hack a UAV Tower near the target. The one on a Cheongun Village rooftop completes the side op “ACTIVATE UAV TOWER”. It counts toward your Side Ops payout and puts nearby enemies on your radar, so you can check for other players before going in.

Enter Heavenly Luck Casino through a side door. Jin-Tae’s guards are armored and hit hard, so take them out one at a time through doorways rather than rushing in. If damage piles up, fall back into a corridor to replate.

Get onto the upper balcony over the casino floor and shoot down at Jin-Tae from the high ground. Gunfire draws other players, so keep checking around you during the fight. Killing him completes the side op “KILL JIN-TAE”, which adds +500 on the side-op tracker.

Loot his drop. Jin-Tae leaves a loot backpack and his weapon, the ISO NIGHTSHADE, an Epic SMG valued at $2,300. Grab the Lieutenant Dog Tags along with anything valuable.

Exfil with the Lieutenant Dog Tags

The tags pay nothing until you extract with them, so getting out alive matters as much as the kill.

Open the Tac Map and pick the nearest exfil. A care package outside the casino is worth opening on your way out.

Take a vehicle to cover the distance fast. Leave it before you reach the exfil area, so other players cannot follow it to the landing site.

Clear the AI near the green smoke. Then wait in a nearby building, upstairs if possible, instead of standing in the open while the helicopter comes in.

Once you’re out, the EXTRACTION SUMMARY lists the Lieutenant Dog Tags at $25,000 and the Side Ops Payout. That cash is already in your bank.

Sell Valuable items at the FOB

Items with the VALUABLE tag and a diamond icon exist to be turned into cash. REGIONAL COMBAT NOTES, an UNCOMMON valuable, reads “Can be extracted and sold in the FOB for cash.” and sells for $1,000.

Back at the FOB, open STASH/LOADOUT.

Highlight an item marked VALUABLE. You can also SECURE or STASH items from this menu.

Select SELL (RT on controller).

The sale goes through immediately, and the BANK total at the top of the screen updates. The counter shows your balance out of $500K.
