Adamantite in Final Fantasy Resonance comes from treasure chests on the Rugged Mountain Path and in the Oblivion Palace, from a travelling Merchant Ship that sells it for gil, from Colosseum Rank Battle rewards, and from a Chapter 6 story event. Each piece you bring to Aileen, the rebels’ weaponsmith, becomes one new weapon for one party member.
Quick answer: Open the Adamantite chests on the Rugged Mountain Path (one) and in the Oblivion Palace (two), buy one from the Merchant Ship for 35,000 gil, or win it as a Colosseum Rank Battle reward.

Adamantite chests: Rugged Mountain Path and Oblivion Palace
Adamantite appears in the Valuables category alongside key items, not consumables. Its description is: “An extremely hard and rare metal. Can be used as a material to craft weapons in the right hands.”
On the Rugged Mountain Path, one treasure chest holds a single Adamantite. The other chests on that path hold Flame Scroll II and Kumobashiri, so check them all rather than stopping at the first one.
The Oblivion Palace, in the Kingdom of Grandshelt, has two treasure chests with one Adamantite each. The palace is also where you deal with Tablet Shards and the Oblivion Palace princess. Open every chest you pass in both places, since the Adamantite chests look like any other treasure chest.

Add to Google Preferences →Buying Adamantite from the Merchant Ship
The Merchant Ship never docks. It sails the seas and trades only with airships it runs into, so you need an airship to reach it. The in-game bulletin board article “A Merchant Ship, A Chance Encounter” covers this, and in Gaberada, the Undertown, a townsperson describes “a very particular merchant ship that sails the seas, appearing only when they have acquired some rare oddity to sell.”

When your airship meets it, the prompt reads “Talk to Merchant Ship”. The merchant sells one item at a time (“We’ll be sailin’ n’ sellin’ but one shiny trinket”), and Adamantite is one of his offers (“Behold, adamantite! Yers for 35,000 gil!”).
- Adamantite: 35,000 gil
- An ancient cloak: 40,000 gil
- An ancient tome: 45,000 gil
- A Magicite Cryst: 50,000 gil
- A High-Power Generator: 60,000 gil
Carry at least 35,000 gil when you go looking for the ship. If you’re short, the merchant answers “Avast! Ye don’t have enough gil!”
Adamantite from Colosseum Rank Battles
The Colosseum also hands out Adamantite as a Rank Battle reward, so it is worth working through its battles alongside the chests and the Merchant Ship. A Chapter 6 story event is another source of Adamantite.
Turning Adamantite into weapons with Aileen
In Dilmagia, Aileen serves as the rebels’ weaponsmith. Rain wants her to make weapons for him and his friends, but she first wants to watch the party fight.
You’ll know it worked when she says “It’s done! And thanks to the pristine quality of the adamantite, it came out perfectly.” If you still hold more Adamantite she follows up with “Who else should I make a weapon for?”; if you’re out, she tells you to “just bring me more adamantite.” Her list includes Rain, Lasswell, Fina, Lid, Nichol, Jake and Sakura, all among the game’s party members.
Adamantite achievements
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
| The Weapon that Suits the User | Have Aileen craft a weapon for the first time. |
| The Weaponsmith | Have Aileen craft weapons for all party members. |
The Weaponsmith requires an Adamantite for each party member, so pick up every piece you find.
