Steal an Egg: How to Get Bloom and Spirit Bloom (Sakura Incubator Guide)

Unlock the machine with a Crane, charge it with Sakura Crystals, then roll Bloom or Spirit Bloom.

Unlock the machine with a Crane, charge it with Sakura Crystals, then roll Bloom or Spirit Bloom.

Bloom and Spirit Bloom only come from the Sakura Incubator in Steal an Egg. The machine sits at the back of the Cherry Blossom Zone, the last biome on the map, and it will not run until you hand it a Crane and enough Sakura Crystals to finish a charge.

Quick answer: Put an unhatched inventory egg into the unlocked Sakura Incubator, charge it to at least 100 percent with Sakura Crystals, then click Mutate. Bloom lands 97.5 percent of the time. Spirit Bloom lands 2.5 percent of the time.

Bloom and Spirit Bloom mutation chances

The incubator rolls one of two mutations. There is no special egg and no extra item for Spirit Bloom. Every valid egg that reaches a full charge uses the same roll.

MutationMultiplierChance
Bloom1.5x97.5%
Spirit Bloom3x2.5%

Spirit Bloom is simply the rare side of that roll. You may need several charged eggs before it appears. Robux can raise Spirit Bloom luck if you do not want to wait on the 2.5 percent rate.

Charge percent required to mutate

Sakura Crystals are the only fuel. Deposit them after the egg is in the machine. The egg does not mutate until charge reaches 100 percent.

ChargeWhat happens
Below 100%Mutate will not finish a Bloom or Spirit Bloom roll.
100%The egg can be mutated. Bloom is 97.5%. Spirit Bloom is 2.5%.
150% (max)Charge cap. Improves the Spirit Bloom roll. Does not lock the rare result.

Push the bar to 150 percent when you are hunting Spirit Bloom. A max charge still uses the same two outcomes. It only makes the rare side more likely.

Eggs the Sakura Incubator will not accept

The machine only takes an egg that is still in your inventory. A hatched pet cannot go in. An egg already laid down in your pen cannot go in either.

If you want Bloom or Spirit Bloom on a rare pet, keep that egg unhatched until after Mutate finishes. Once it hatches or hits the pen, the incubator is closed to it.

Use the Sakura Incubator

Keep an unhatched egg in your inventory and travel to the Cherry Blossom Zone. The Sakura Incubator is at the back of that biome.
Interact with the incubator and submit the egg you want to mutate. The egg must still be in your inventory when you open the machine.
Deposit Sakura Crystals until the charge hits at least 100 percent. Keep depositing if you want the 150 percent cap for a better Spirit Bloom roll.
Click Mutate and wait for the process to finish. The returned egg should show Bloom or, on the rare roll, Spirit Bloom.

If Mutate does nothing, the usual blockers are a charge under 100 percent, a hatched pet, or an egg that is already in your pen. Fix that input and run the charge again.

Unlock the Sakura Incubator

The incubator stays sealed until you offer a Crane. Crane is an Epic pet from Cherry Blossom Zone eggs. You only need to do this once.

RequirementDetail
LocationBack of the Cherry Blossom Zone
Unlock petCrane (Epic)
Speed to steal those eggsAt least 3.5B
After you submit CraneThe pet is consumed. The machine stays unlocked.
Raise your speed to at least 3.5B. Below that, Cherry Blossom Zone eggs will not steal cleanly.
Steal eggs in the Cherry Blossom Zone and hatch them until a Crane appears. Crane does not come from the incubator itself.
Keep that Crane in your inventory and walk to the Sakura Incubator. Size and mutations do not matter, so offer the smallest Crane you have.
Interact with the machine and submit the Crane. The pet leaves your inventory. The incubator unlocks for good, and you do not need another Crane to mutate later eggs.

You know the unlock worked when the machine accepts eggs and Sakura Crystals. A Great Bloom timer also appears above it. If you still want a Crane in your collection, hatch a second copy before you spend the first one.

Sakura Crystals and the Great Bloom Event

Unlocking the incubator also opens the Great Bloom Event in the Cherry Blossom Zone. Sakura Crystals drop only during that window, from Crystal Cherry Blossom Trees.

EventRepeatLengthHow crystals drop
Great Bloom EventEvery 30 minutesAbout 3 minutesHit Crystal Cherry Blossom Trees with your baseball bat

An on-screen message appears when Great Bloom starts. After the incubator is unlocked, the timer above the machine also shows the next run. Be in the Cherry Blossom Zone before that message appears. The three-minute window is too short to spend on travel from another biome.

Equip the baseball bat as soon as the event starts and smash the crystal trees until the timer ends. Bank those Sakura Crystals for the next 100 percent or 150 percent charge. After the first Crane, this crystal loop is the only resource grind the incubator still asks for.
