Ambrus’s Collectors: Unsavoury Solutions is one of three Leech Collectors Court Activities tied to Ambrus in The Blood of Dawnwalker. It is a short combat encounter with a hard stop at the end, since an elite enemy shows up once the objective is done. Finishing it raises Coen’s Infamy and adds progress toward Ambrus’s boss quest.
Quick answer: Wipe out the Vrakhiri camp guards, interact with the leech barrels to destroy them, then defeat the elite enemy The Bloodletter who appears afterward. Loot his body for New Orders from Ambrus and the activity closes out.
Unsavoury Solutions requirements and time cost
Court Activities open up after the Prologue, and Ambrus’s set is the low-level group, available from Level 1 onward. None of them are pinned on your map by default. Every Court Activity shows as an “Unknown Activity” until you physically stumble onto it in the world, so synchronizing towers early is the fastest way to get nearby markers to surface as white question marks.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Court | Ambrus (Brencis’s Court) |
| Category | Leech Collectors |
| Level range | Level 1+ |
| Time cost | 3 time segments |
| Objectives | Defeat the camp guards, destroy the leech barrels |
| Elite enemy | The Bloodletter |
Time matters here. Coen has 30 in-game days to deal with all three vassals and reach his family, and this activity eats three segments. If you are short on time and only need a nudge to Ambrus’s Anger meter, the Blood Cellars activities cost a single segment each and are the cheaper option.

Destroy the leech barrels
With the camp empty, the objective flips to “Destroy the leech barrels.” Walk up to the barrels and use the interact prompt. There is no minigame or timer here, just a short cutscene in which Coen smashes them open.
Note: all three Leech Collectors activities follow this same pattern, so the routine you use for Unsavoury Solutions carries straight over to Bounty of the Mire and Wetland Helpers.
Beat The Bloodletter

Unsavoury Solutions rewards and loot
The high-tier drops all come off The Bloodletter and the surrounding camp, not from a separate quest payout. Weapon values seen on the pickups sit around 144 DPS at the top end, with 76 and 77 DPS options as fallbacks.

| Beast Slayer’s Pendant | Gear |

How to confirm the activity completed
Three things happen when it registers. The quest entry for Ambrus’s Collectors: Unsavoury Solutions clears from your tracked objectives, your Infamy goes up, and the Leech Collectors node under Ambrus updates inside the Brencis’s Court menu. There is a good chance you also gain a level here — Level 12 is typical if you have been clearing Ambrus content in order.
If the activity is still showing as incomplete, the usual reason is a stray guard left alive somewhere on the edge of the camp, or barrels you have not interacted with yet. Both objectives, defeating the camp guards and destroying the leech barrels, have to be ticked off before The Bloodletter will spawn.
Where this fits in Ambrus’s Anger progression
Ambrus has 14 Court Activities in total across Blood Transports, the Prisoner Processing Camp, Leech Collectors, Prisoner Transports, Blood Cellars and his Dungeons. You do not need to finish all of them. Roughly 75 percent is enough to max his Anger and unlock The Gilded Gauntlet, the quest that leads into the duel. You can check exact progress from his portrait in the Court menu.
Unsavoury Solutions also stays available after Ambrus is dealt with, so skipping it now does not lock you out. Given the three-segment cost, it is worth treating it as one of the activities you complete on the way to the threshold rather than clean-up you save for later, especially since the elite drops are useful at the level range Ambrus content is designed for.
