Chapter 1 of Halloween: The Game hides a quick optional challenge inside the Rabbit in Red bar. To clear it, Michael needs to pick up the Sharp Pool Cue and land a single kill with it on any resident or biker. Do that once, and the challenge closes out with a cosmetic reward.

Quick answer: Find a Sharp Pool Cue in the bar, hold the heavy attack button to aim at a target, then release to impale and instantly kill them. This completes the challenge and unlocks Background 40 for your Player Card.

Where to find the Sharp Pool Cue in Chapter 1

Every Sharp Pool Cue spawns inside the main bar area of the Rabbit in Red. You do not need to search the wider map, and any one of the three spawn points works. Grab whichever is closest to where you are standing.

LocationWhere to look
Bar entranceAt the start of the level, leaning against a table on your right.
Jukebox tableResting on the table beside the jukebox at the far right of the bar.
StageOn the stage with the drum set, next to the amp.

Note: This challenge can only be finished inside the bar. Once you leave the Rabbit in Red, it locks for that attempt, so pick up the cue and get the kill before moving on.

Heavy attack method (fastest and safest)

The heavy attack impale is the cleanest way to clear the challenge because it drops a target in a single hit without pulling you into a crowd.

Pick up a Sharp Pool Cue from any of the three bar locations so it becomes your equipped weapon.
Hold the heavy attack button to aim the cue. This is right click on mouse or the left trigger on a controller.
Line up any biker or resident in your sights, then release the button. The cue impales the target for an instant kill and the challenge registers as complete.

Light attack method

A basic stab also counts. With the cue equipped, use your light attack to stab a biker or any other resident until they die. It works fine for the challenge, but it takes longer than the impale and leaves you exposed to nearby enemies while you swing. If you go this route, thin out the crowd first or catch a straggler alone.

Reward and how to confirm it worked

Killing a target with the Sharp Pool Cue rewards Background 40 for your Player Card, which you can equip and show off to other players. The challenge ticks off the moment the kill lands, so if the counter does not update, the most likely reason is that the target survived the hit or you already left the bar. Stay inside the Rabbit in Red, land a clean impale, and finish the rest of the chapter as normal so your progress saves.
