The Main Hall holds nine Mirrors of Life, more than any other area of Dracula’s Castle, and spreads 37 Secret Areas across its sub-areas. Almost every one is a hidden passage that Rose walks straight through. Finding all 37 completes one of the three Works of Mercy tied to the Masterpiece spell (The Artist Arcana), which reads exactly: “Find all the secret zones in the Main Hall.”

How secret areas open in Main Hall
The game’s tutorial card titled “Secret Areas” gives this exact text: “Some secret areas are hidden behind walls. Look out for the visual and audio clues.”
A hidden passage is a false wall that Rose walks straight through. A breakable wall is a cracked section you hit with your weapon until it breaks. A lever gate is a gate in front of the secret that a lever opens. A smash floor is a floor you break with Smash, and the thicker ones need a high fall first. The Stomp tutorial reads exactly: “The Stomp has several power levels that activate depending on the distance travelled during the fall. If Rose jumps high enough, she can break thicker destructible objects!”
The relic Gloomstone reads “Gives a hint when Rose is close to a secret.” It is found in the Master’s Quarters, listed in the relics guide.
The map tutorial reads exactly: “Placing a MARKER on a secret or an unreachable location allows you to return to it later.” The marker button is Square on PlayStation and Space on PC.
Golden XP statues break after a few whip hits, and each one in the Main Hall is worth 250 XP. Picking up whole meat replenishes all of Rose’s lost health.
Brave Heart Fragments raise Rose’s maximum health, and Wise Heart Fragments raise her maximum mana; four fragments are required for each upgrade. The ATK UP and DEF UP books provide a lasting +1 ATK or +1 DEF.
