Hajin is the DMZ map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Each point of interest (POI) on it has an Expected Threat Level, which shows how dangerous a site is before any shooting starts. That rating shapes most of your route. High-threat sites hold the guards and the valuable targets. The smaller buildings marked on the Tac Map give steadier, lower-risk loot. What follows covers the main POIs and location types players run into. It is not a list of everything on the map.
Quick answer: For high-value targets, go to Chang-san Air Base, The Grid, or the 14th Political Prison’s Citadel with a full squad. For lower-risk loot, stop at Police Stations, Fire Stations, Clinics, Compounds, and Ammo & Armor Caches.
Hajin threat levels and map colours
Each POI card shows a Location, meaning the part of Hajin it sits in and whether that ground was North Korean (NK) or South Korean (SK) territory. It also shows an Expected Threat Level for the POI as a whole and for each named sub-area inside it. The scale has five steps.
- LOW and MEDIUM suit early deployments and light gear.
- HIGH and above means more guards and higher-value targets.
- CRITICAL and EXTREME sites call for a full squad carrying plates.
Buildings are also colour-coded, so you can tell what a building is before you walk in. Red marks a Fire Station, blue marks a Police Station, and green marks a Clinic.

Add to Google Preferences →Where to land in Hajin
Choose a landing spot by the Expected Threat Level of the ground around it. Broadly, the south and east of Hajin are quieter, while the north-west and the centre are where the danger sits.
Lower-threat places to start a deployment:
- Imjin Farmland (south-southwest): the Farmland Exterior and Jeong Loading Dock are LOW, and only the Rice Mill steps up to MEDIUM.
- Songdo Wharf (east coast): the wharf, Damsik Turtle Island and Shoreline Station all rate LOW.
- Cheongun Village and Mirae General Hospital (north): the village, its outskirts and the hospital are LOW, but the Heavenly Luck Casino inside the village is HIGH.
- Deadtown (south-west): the township is LOW, with its Re-Education Center at MEDIUM.
- Cheonwang Peak Array (centre) rates MEDIUM.
High-threat places to land only with a squad and plates:
- Chang-san Air Base (west): CRITICAL outside, with the Air Base Bunker at EXTREME.
- The Grid (central Hajin City): CRITICAL, with Nenshin Tech Complex at EXTREME.
- 14th Political Prison (north-west): HIGH, with The Citadel at CRITICAL.
- Haneul Nuclear Reactor (north-east): HIGH with radiation, so carry radiological protection and a gas mask.
Wolves Stadium and Hajin River Heights in the south-east fall in between at MEDIUM. The stadium’s northern edge, where it meets The Grid, is the more dangerous side.
Where is Deadtown
Deadtown is in south-west Hajin, directly south of Chang-san Air Base and west of Imjin Farmland, on the river that runs down that side of the map. The township rates LOW, and the Deadtown Re-Education Center inside it rates MEDIUM. A fire station stands north-east of Deadtown beside the railway line, at tac map grid C6.
Where are the police stations
Police Stations are the blue buildings on the Tac Map. Known ones include the police station in Pyeonghwa Village, whose basement holds the Police Station Armory door, the police station at Revolution Dam, which also has a Police Station Armory door, and one in the streets around Wolves Stadium. Open the Tac Map and look for the blue police markers to find the one nearest you.
High-threat Hajin POIs worth the risk
Higher threat means more guards and more valuable targets, so this is where a geared squad goes to get paid.
Chang-san Air Base
The exterior rates CRITICAL and the Air Base Bunker rates EXTREME. The base is cut into a granite hillside above an underground bunker complex that is larger than the surface base. It has a full complement of guards and what the game calls “higher value targets”. Above ground you’ll find a hospital, a helipad, a jet runway, barracks, supply depots, and a command and control building. Hidden missile bunkers and a large toxic containment pool surround the site.
Cliffs make the eastern approach difficult. Come from the elevated woodland to the south instead.

The Grid
The Grid is a fortified business district in Central Hajin City (SK), enclosed by a steel-plated wall topped with razor wire. The district rates CRITICAL, and so do DBN Headquarters, Minsok Art School, and the Construction Zone. Nenshin Tech Complex rates EXTREME. Expect barricades, watchtowers, and NK soldiers on patrol in the streets between The Grid and NuriGO Mall.

14th Political Prison
The prison sits on a cleared plateau in Northwest Hajin (NK). It has watchtowers, a checkpoint on the south side, and barracks outside the walls. The Prison and The Fortress Prison Yard both rate HIGH. The Citadel, a Y-shaped fortress at the centre, rates CRITICAL.
Other Hajin POIs and their threat levels
| POI | Location | Threat levels |
|---|---|---|
| Deadtown | — | Exterior LOW; Re-Education Center MEDIUM |
| Imjin Farmland | South-Southwest (SK) | Exterior LOW; Jeong Loading Dock LOW; Rice Mill MEDIUM |
| Cheongun Village | Northern (SK) | Village, Outskirts, Russian Border Crossing, Russian Border LOW; Heavenly Luck Casino HIGH |
| Mirae General Hospital | North Central (SK) | LOW |
| Cheonwang Peak Array | Central (SK) | MEDIUM |
| Haneul Nuclear Reactor | Northeast (SK) | Reactor HIGH (Radiation); Border Zone MEDIUM |
| NuriGO Mall | Northeast Hajin City (SK) | NuriGO East MEDIUM; NuriGO West HIGH |
| Songdo Wharf | Eastern Hajin City (SK) | Wharf, Damsik Turtle Island, Shoreline Station LOW |
| Wolves Stadium | — | MEDIUM |
| Hajin River Heights | Southeast (SK) | River Heights, South Island, Jinseo Park Towers MEDIUM |
Cheongun Village poses little threat apart from the Heavenly Luck Casino. This multi-floor site contains underground parking and gambling halls on several levels. Since many areas lack mains power, bring night vision goggles.
Haneul Nuclear Reactor has its peak radiation levels inside the reactor building; equip radiological protection and a gas mask. Reactor 02 has been breached, while Reactor 01 remains stable. You can enter from the water or take the tunnel southwest from Compound Delta.
NuriGO Mall is a block of shops and tenements over an underground complex. The tunnels below have no power, so bring NVGs here too.
Mirae General Hospital is right by a train station, with The Grid and the mall nearby. Cross the stepped grounds past triage tents and enter the stripped lobby, which spans multiple levels. Expect close-quarters encounters in the colour-coded wards, waiting rooms, patient areas, and emergency room. Snipers may be keeping watch from the woodland south of the hospital at Mujin Pass.
Imjin Farmland consists of open rice fields and rail lines surrounding the Rice Mill, whose height provides a view across the fields. Approach using the warehouses for cover, then switch to a close-range weapon once inside.
Cheonwang Peak Array is the DBN TV station array on a summit. Its buildings are now enemy barracks, and the roof has a helipad with long views over central Hajin. Deadtown is an abandoned farming township the military took over, with toxic runoff channels and a sewer system underneath. Songdo Wharf has a beach, a pier, a lighthouse, a tented market, a train station, and the La Grande Vie apartment tower. Wolves Stadium is the Netshin Park baseball stadium, with a Police Station and a bank building on the surrounding streets. Its northern edge, which borders The Grid, is the most dangerous part.
Smaller named spots on the map include Hajin River, Tong-Il Village, Revolution Dam, Pyonghwa Village, Imjin Suburb, Mujin Pass, Daesong Ridge, and Namjin Riverside.
Tac Map location types for steadier loot
The Tac Map marks these smaller locations. Each one improves your chances of finding the type of loot it’s known for, but what’s actually inside varies from match to match.
| Location type | Look for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Police Station (blue) | Military gear, a locked Armory | Several rooms to clear |
| Fire Station (red) | Radiation Gear, Parachutes | Enemy presence expected |
| Clinic (green) | Medical loot | Squads waiting for injured players |
| Compound | Improved loot, valuable intel, armored vehicles | Heavy defences |
| Ammo & Armor Cache | Ammo refill, Armor Plates | Often inside enemy-held compounds |
Some Police Stations let you reach the roof for an overwatch position, and the locked Armory needs its key. Fire Stations contain the Radiation Gear required at Haneul reactor. Compounds may have armored vehicles you can drive away, including the LTV. A noisy entry draws the entire compound onto you, so a stealthy approach is more effective. After use, an Ammo & Armor Cache enters cooldown before it is available again.

Side Op and intel locations
- UAV Tower: This compact communications tower commonly has guards nearby. Activate it to complete a Side Op, collect DMZ Cash, and release a pulse that reveals nearby Operators and enemies.
- SAM Site: Hack the control computer to take the site, then defend it as the siren blares and enemies advance. Once captured, it fires on hostile aircraft, making it useful against Deathstalkers. Enemies can reclaim it if you move too far away.
- Lieutenant Hunt: Scale a tall comms tower and check the laptop at its summit for intel about a nearby Lieutenant.
- Bounty Station: Use this rugged laptop to view Bounties placed on human Operators. It also lets you spend DMZ Cash to remove your own Bounty.
Named Lieutenants hold some sites, and each drops a LEGENDARY dog tag. Bale, for example, is at the Tank Depot. Once you buy his intel, the objective reads “Paid Intel: Kill Bale”, and he drops “bale’s dog tag”.
Hajin vehicles, refuelling and exfil
Vehicles on Hajin are the CAMPER, SEDAN, GRIZZLY, DREADNOUGHT, POLARIS DAGOR A1, LTV, CARGO TRUCK, D50 RADAR FLATBED, TRAIN, TRAM, RHIB and HELI. The TRAIN and elevated TRAM, which is a monorail, travel across the map.
Gas Stations repair and refuel ground vehicles and helicopters, and they refill any gas cans you’re carrying. Marine Gas Stations are small jetties with two pumps. They repair and refuel boats, including Armored Patrol Boats and RHIBs.

Exfil locations come from a set pool and appear as green smoke. Call in the helicopter, then secure the area until it arrives. Other squads may camp the exfil points and try to ambush you as you leave.
