The Fell Wispwyvern is inside The Pike, the castle behind Pikemead’s Reach in the Revelwood, and it ends the Blacksmith’s main quest “Reach The Capital, Pikemead’s Reach”. You need Shroud Passage Level 3 before you can travel there.
Quick answer: Get Shroud Passage Level 3, go to Pikemead’s Reach, then head about 235 m north of the town’s Flame Sanctum into The Pike. Each kill drops 1 Fell Wispwyvern Head, 3 Shroud Cores and 12 to 16 Legendary Runes.
Fell Wispwyvern location
Pikemead’s Reach is the fallen capital in the Revelwood, and the Farmer’s quest journal spells out what you need to get there: “To reach Pikemead’s Reach, Shroud Passage Level 3 is required. Increase the Passage Level by strengthening the Flame.” You need Shroud Passage Level 3, and you get it by upgrading the Flame.
Once you are in town, the boss is in The Pike, the castle just north of Pikemead’s Reach. These spots help you find it. The boss, the Return Beacons and the town are on the map at the top of this guide, and the full interactive Enshrouded map has every other marker. For where this boss sits in the story, see Enshrouded bosses in order.

- The boss spot is about 235 m north of the Pikemead’s Reach marker and its Flame Sanctum.
- A Return Beacon sits roughly 70 m south-west of the boss.
- A second Return Beacon is at the Flame Sanctum in town.
- The boss spot is approximately 20 m from the painting Ashes Of Pikemead’s Reach.
- The Royal Pants are about 35 m from the boss spot.
The Hollow Wispwyvern is a different boss. It lives in the Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls and drops a Hollow Wispwyvern Head, Icy Giant Bones and 4 to 8 Legendary Runes, not the Fell Wispwyvern Head.

The Blacksmith gives you this main quest, and its recommended level is 16. In the journal, the Fell Wispwyvern is called the Castle Beast.
When the last step is done, the quest is complete. It rewards 1 Fell Wispwyvern Head and 200 XP.
Fell Wispwyvern drops
The boss drops a head, Shroud Cores and Legendary Runes, and it also carries the Commander’s Ring. The quest pays out separately. See how to get Shroud Cores and Legendary Runes for their other sources.
| Reward | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Fell Wispwyvern Head | 1 | Boss drop |
| Shroud Cores | 3 | Boss drop |
| Legendary Runes | 12 to 16 | Boss drop |
| Commander’s Ring | 1 | Carried by the boss |
| Fell Wispwyvern Head | 1 | Quest reward |
| XP | 200 | Quest reward |
Because the quest gives a head on top of the kill drop, your first win leaves you with 2 Fell Wispwyvern Heads.

Commander’s Ring
This Epic Warrior ring is item level 15, with 40 Health, 16 Mana, and 8 Stamina shown on its card. Its text reads: “A simple and sturdy ring, decorated with three gemstones. The engraving reads: ‘To Cyrus, my most loyal Commander and friend’. It was found inside the maw of the creature that haunts The Pike.” How it compares with every other ring is in the Enshrouded rings list.

When enhanced, the ring adds these perks:
- Bash +1
- Heavy Plates +1
- Health Leech 4
- Health Leech 2%
Fell Wispwyvern Head uses
The Fell Wispwyvern Head is an Epic material with a stack limit of 50. Its text reads: “When its luminous brood skipped over the waves near Pikemead’s Reach, it was seen as a good omen. Unfortunately, no being, no matter how small, escapes the corrupting grasp of the Shroud.” You can use it for a Flame Altar upgrade or for Hunter trophies.

Flame level 4 upgrade
At the Flame Altar, raising the Flame from level 3 to 4 needs 1 Fell Wispwyvern Head plus these materials:
- 15 Goo
- 15 Corrupted Boar Tusk
- 10 Spark
- 15 Indigo Plant
- 15 Amber
- 15 Copper Ore
Hunter trophies
The Hunter makes four Fell Wispwyvern trophies. Each one needs 2 Wood Planks and 2 Nails on top of the heads and bars below.
| Trophy | Heads | Extra bar |
|---|---|---|
| Fell Wispwyvern Trophy | 1 | None |
| Bronze Fell Wispwyvern Trophy | 2 | 1 Bronze Bars |
| Iron Fell Wispwyvern Trophy | 3 | 1 Iron Bars |
| Gold Fell Wispwyvern Trophy | 4 | 1 Gold Bars |

All four trophies take ten heads in total, and the full set is worth 2,000 XP. Spend your first two heads on the Flame level 4 upgrade and the basic Fell Wispwyvern Trophy. The trophy reads: “The change of tides was not kind to this creature. Perhaps it can finally rest.” Every other boss trophy is in all 20 enemy trophies.
