Quick answer: Talk to Yu’er at the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley. Collect Blemish Goldweed, Congealeaf and Blood-Stopper Vine at the three marked spots, then bring them back to her. Her reward is most likely the Medicine Case.
The quest appears in the Tales tab as APPRENTICE HEALER, with the subtitle “The Path of Healing Begins Here”. It has two objectives:
- “Find the three herbs listed in Yu’er’s medicinal recipe in Weeping Creek Valley”
- “Bring the three herbs to Yu’er”
How to start Apprentice Healer
Yu’er stands at the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley. She is about 19 m from the Outpost bell and about 2 m above it. Speak to her to start the quest. She hands you YU’ER’S MEDICINAL RECIPE, and the three herb spots are then marked on the Weeping Creek Valley map.

YU’ER’S MEDICINAL RECIPE gives one hint for each herb:
[Blemish Goldweed]
They say it grows outside of Lóng lairs, but I’ve never seen one of those. They tend to grow along streambanks as well.[Congealeaf]
It tends to grow at the foot of cliffs prone to frequent rockfalls, among yellow wildflowers. Watch out for falling rocks when you’re looking for it![Blood-Stopper Vine]
It likes the water and often clings to rocks or the edges of riverbanks. Follow the stream, and you will find some eventually.
All 3 herb locations in Weeping Creek Valley
The three herb spots are marked on the map, and the table pairs each marker with the herb it most likely holds. The quest markers also show on the interactive map below. The distances below are straight-line distances from the nearest bell.
| Herb | Nearest bell | Distance from bell | Recipe hint |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lóng Pillar Overlook | About 95 m, about 7 m lower | Streambanks, outside Lóng lairs | |
| Lóng Pillar Overlook | About 123 m, about the same height | Foot of rockfall cliffs, yellow wildflowers | |
| The Axemaster’s Holding Cell | About 110 m, about 13 m lower | Rocks and riverbank edges along the stream |
Blemish Goldweed
This herb is most likely at the marker about 95 m from the Lóng Pillar Overlook bell and about 7 m lower. Its item card reads:
One of the three medicinal herbs Yu’er needs.
Its slender leaves curl gently at the edges, like willow leaves touched with dew.

Congealeaf
This herb is most likely at the marker about 123 m from the Lóng Pillar Overlook bell, at about the same height. Its item card reads:
One of the three medicinal herbs Yu’er needs.
True to its name, the leaves are thick and supple, releasing a faint, refreshing fragrance when crushed.

Blood-Stopper Vine
This herb is most likely at the marker about 110 m from The Axemaster’s Holding Cell bell and about 13 m lower. Its item card reads:
One of the three medicinal herbs Yu’er needs.
Its vines are slender yet resilient. The dark crimson sap that seeps from them when snapped is known to stem bleeding.

Yu’er’s reward: most likely the Medicine Case
Once you have all three herbs, return to Yu’er at the Outpost. She ticks off Blemish Goldweed, Blood-Stopper Vine and Congealeaf one by one. Handing them over completes the quest, and the reward is most likely the Medicine Case accessory, which is tied to her spot at the Outpost. Its effect is “Increases healing from Medicine by 20%.” The item card says a young girl made the case using a method her late mother taught her.

Apprentice Healer counts toward the achievement THE HEALER’S LEGACY, “Complete [Flesh Lily], [Apprentice Healer], and [A Healer’s Mercy]”. The other two parts are Flesh Lily and A Healer’s Mercy. A Healer’s Mercy is Yu’er’s next quest and takes place at the Thieves’ Camp in the Crimson Forest. It is listed with the rest of the game’s tales and side quests.
