Quick answer: Phantom Blade Zero has five Lóng Pillars. Weeping Creek Valley, the Crimson Forest (Mirrorwood) and the Mirage Estate each have one, and Meigu Lake has two. Win all five pillar trials to complete Bloodline Awakening.
Two quests track the pillars. The collectible quest “LÓNG PILLARS” has the subtitle “Anchor Heaven, Seal Corruption” and the objective “Find and touch the Lóng Pillars hidden throughout the land”. The story quest “BLOODLINE AWAKENING” has the subtitle “Shackles serve as kindling, destiny ignites”. Its objectives are:
- “Find all five Lóng Pillars and complete their trials”
- “Return to the Lóng Pillar to investigate”
- “Return to the Lóng Pillar after new discoveries”
All five Lóng Pillar locations
Every Lóng Pillar stands near one of the game’s bells, so the bell is the easiest landmark for finding each one. Each region’s map also marks its pillar.
| Pillar | Region | Nearest bell | Distance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weeping Creek Valley | A bell right by the pillar (the Lóng Pillar Overlook bell is about 165 m away) | About 35 m | |
| Crimson Forest | Mirrorwood Lóng Pillar bell | About 25 m | |
| Mirage Estate | Mirage Estate Lóng Pillar bell | About 35 m | |
| Meigu Lake | Midlake Lóng Pillar Dock bell | About 25 m | |
| Meigu Lake | Four Guardians’ Mirror bell | About 70 m |
A book page titled “WHAT’S SEALED WITHIN THE LÓNG PILLAR?” describes the Weeping Creek Valley pillar:
The Lóng Pillar in this valley may seem close at hand, but you’ll have to pass through a mountain cave to reach it.
The pillars are huge dragon statues. At the Mirrorwood Lóng Pillar bell in the Crimson Forest, the statue sits at the mouth of a cave washed in red light, a short walk from the bell, and an E prompt appears when you stand at its head.

When you interact with a pillar early in the game, such as the Mirrorwood dragon statue, you get two choices: “Continue” or “Leave”. If you pick Continue, Soul senses a huge power sealed inside the pillar. It seems connected to his visions and feels oddly familiar to him, and he decides to return if he learns anything more.

Nothing else happens at this point. The quest then updates to “Return to the Lóng Pillar after new discoveries”.
How the Bloodline Awakening trials work
Once unlocked, interacting with any pillar advances the trial sequence by one. You can take the pillars in any order; the trial count still runs from 1 to 5, whichever pillar you use for each trial.
Each trial is a duel against a masked fighter from the Bastion of Mó:
- Trials 1 to 4: The Gold-Masked One
- Trial 5: Mó Yuan, Leader of the Bastion of Mó
When you win the fifth trial, Bloodline Awakening completes. The achievement “Phantom and Blade” unlocks at the same time, which confirms the quest is done. Its description reads “Complete [Bloodline Awakening]”. The full list is on the Phantom Blade Zero achievements page.
Lóng Pillar trial rewards
| Trial won | Reward | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| 3rd | “Collect every fragment to restore the Flaming Grip, used to Soul Temper the Sanguine Reach.” | |
| 4th | “Collect every fragment to restore the Chaos Twin Daggers, used to Soul Temper the Sanguine Twin.” | |
| 5th | “Used to Soul Temper Sanguine.” |
All three rewards are used for Soul Tempering a Sanguine weapon.
Bloodline Awakening and the Final Battle ending
Bloodline Awakening and Secrets at the Heart of the Lake are the two requirements for the Final Battle ending. The Phantom Blade Zero endings page explains how to reach each ending.
