Enshrouded 1.0: All Flame Shrine and Flame Sanctum Locations

Every Flame Shrine and Flame Sanctum in Enshrouded holds a Spark. Sparks are what you need to strengthen the Flame at your Flame Altar. The map shows 63 sites in six regions; Blackmire and Cinder’s Cradle are the two regions with no sites.

Quick answer: Embervale has 63 sites: 48 Flame Shrines, including the Flame Shrine of Manathor, and 15 Flame Sanctums. The full lists by region are below.

How Flame Shrines and Flame Sanctums appear on the map

These sites don’t all appear on your map from the start. Flame Sanctums and hidden Flame Shrines are revealed by two different landmarks. The game explains both in its own text.

“Ancient Obelisks contain lore about the world. After reading them, you will gain insight to the locations of hidden Flame Shrines and Shroud Roots. Flame Shrines can be harvested to obtain Sparks. Sparks are needed to strengthen the Flame.”

“Scale Ancient Spires and speak to the Flame atop to reveal important landmarks on your map. Ancient Spires unveil the location of Elixir Wells and Flame Sanctums.”

Some hidden shrines also come with a quest prompt. In the Kindlewastes, the hidden Flame Shrine quest reads: “You’ve discovered the location of a forgotten Flame Shrine in the Kindlewastes. Reach and explore the location to gather a Spark!”

Flame Shrine and Flame Sanctum count per region

The Nomad Highlands have the most sites. The Albaneve Summits, the Kindlewastes and Veilwater Basin have Flame Shrines but no Flame Sanctums.

Each region’s list runs from north to south. Each position is measured from the nearest named place on the map, so you can search for that name and set your waypoint close by.

Springlands (13)

The Springlands have eight Flame Shrines and five Flame Sanctums. Two sites are near the Ancient Vault — Carpenter: one about 550 m north-east and one about 170 m east.

Revelwood (13)

Revelwood also has eight Flame Shrines and five Flame Sanctums. Glimmer Rock Mine has a shrine directly on site and a sanctum just north of it. The shrine near Lumenlight Cave is high above the cave.

Nomad Highlands (15)

The Nomad Highlands hold ten Flame Shrines and five Flame Sanctums. Three of these sites sit high above their landmarks: near Conway Camp, Vukah Arena and Dragon Cave. Pondsworth has two shrines to its west, at different distances.

Albaneve Summits (8)

All eight sites in the Albaneve Summits are Flame Shrines. The one near Gateway Outpost “Drifa” sits well below the outpost, not level with it.

Kindlewastes (6)

The Kindlewastes have six Flame Shrines. The southernmost is the named Flame Shrine of Manathor, west of the Forsaken Lighthouse.

Veilwater Basin (8)

Veilwater Basin has eight Flame Shrines and no sanctums.

Two Veilwater Basin shrines are high above their landmarks: the one by Aquamarine Mine and the one by Capybara Oasis.
