At level 25, Enshrouded Vulture Talon is a Rare crafting material found only on Fell Vultures in the Shroud. The item menu describes it as, “A massive, razor-sharp talon. Crafting Ingredient: Primarily used for crafting armor.”

Quick answer: Kill a Fell Vulture inside the Shroud and loot its body. Every kill gives 6-10 Enshrouded Vulture Talon, so a few vultures cover most recipes.

Which vultures drop Enshrouded Vulture Talon

Only Fell Vultures drop this material, and the drop is guaranteed. The Draconian Vultures of the Kindlewastes and the Whitewing Vultures of the Albaneve Summits give nothing toward it, so there is no point farming those.

The Kindlewastes Shroud contains most Fell Vultures; another is found in the Albaneve Summits. This material is neither craftable nor found in chests, so hunting Fell Vultures is the only way to collect it. You can carry up to 250 in a stack.

How to farm Enshrouded Vulture Talon

Travel to an Ancient Spire close to the Shroud. Use the Albaneve Summits Ancient Spire as your starting point.

Engage a Fell Vulture and keep fighting until you defeat it.

Loot the corpse to collect the Enshrouded Vulture Talon it dropped: 6-10 per kill. Search for another Fell Vulture, then get out of the Shroud before the timer expires.

What Enshrouded Vulture Talon is used for

The material is needed for an upgrade to the Flame Altar and for nine glove recipes. To raise the Flame Altar from level 5 to level 6, spend 30 Enshrouded Vulture Talon, 30 of each of Saffron, Spark, Iron Ore, Lapislazuli and Brittle Shroud Flakes, and 1 Fell Sicklescythe Head.

Each of these nine glove recipes uses 2 Enshrouded Vulture Talon, split across the Hunter, Blacksmith and Alchemist crafters.
