The fifth challenge in Chapter 4 of Halloween: The Game asks Michael to fully stalk both Bob and Lynda while they are making out in the living room of the Wallace House. It happens right after you deal with Annie, and it lives or dies on timing. Lynda gets up to answer the phone after about a minute, and once she does, the couple never returns to the couch.
Quick answer: Hide inside the coat closet by the front door, then raise your stalk meter to level 3 on Bob first and Lynda second. Both must hit level 3 before Lynda stands up to use the phone.
Build Bloodthirst before the babysitters arrive
Higher Bloodthirst makes your stalk meter fill faster, which is the single biggest factor in beating the one-minute window. Before you start the babysitter scenes, clear out the non-story residents around the area to raise it.
Two actions push Bloodthirst up the most. Reach level 3 stalk on a resident before you kill them, and finish them with an environmental kill. Doing both on the same target gives you the largest gain per victim, so stalk to level 3, then use the environment to execute.
Note: This prep is worth doing before you touch Annie. Once Bob and Lynda arrive, you no longer have time to farm Bloodthirst.
Get into the closet before the couple settles in
After you hide Annie’s body, Bob and Lynda enter and sit down in the living room downstairs. The moment you regain control, move fast. They will not see or hear you while you are upstairs.
Fill both stalk meters to level 3
Inside the closet, keep the circle in the center of your screen lined up with whichever target you are stalking. Focus on and break the circles as fast as you can to raise the meter, exactly like a normal stalk.
Start with Bob. He is the harder of the two because Lynda is draped over his lap and abdomen, so moving the reticle too far up or to the sides makes the game lose track of him. Aiming at his foot area is the most reliable way to begin his stalk. Once it starts, drive it to level 3, then switch to Lynda.
You have roughly one minute before Lynda gets up to use the phone. Both Bob and Lynda must reach level 3 before she leaves the couch. After she makes the call, the pair does not sit back down, so the couch is your only chance.
Confirming the challenge and recovering a miss
The challenge counts as complete once both meters read level 3 while the couple is still together on the couch. Do not interrupt them early. Attacking a few seconds before the meters finish throws away the requirement, and moving their bodies afterward cannot recreate the untouched scene. Let the meter finish, then move on to the next part of the Wallace House sequence.
As with every challenge in the game, you only keep the reward if you finish the entire chapter. Quitting before Chapter 4 ends marks the objective incomplete.
If you miss the window, open the pause menu and restart. The retry drops you back in the bedroom right after you hide Annie, so you can head for the closet again and catch the couple before Lynda reaches the phone.
