The Duck Sprite is an Epic Sprite added in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 with update v41.00. It stands out because it tops off your shields whenever you emote or play a Jam Track, which makes it a handy backup when you are out of regular heals after a fight.
Quick answer: Find the Duck Sprite in Chests, Rare Chests, or Sprite Chests, or wandering around Cluster’s locations. The Cluster Coast vault has the highest chance of spawning it. Carry it to an Extraction Site (or use a Portable Extractor) and finish the extraction to add it to your permanent collection.
Where to find the Duck Sprite
The Duck Sprite appears through normal loot on the island. Because it holds Epic rarity, you should run into one every couple of matches without going out of your way. Its drop chance from a Sprite Chest is 5.74%.
If it is not showing up, head straight for the vault at Cluster Coast. That vault is packed with Sprite Chests and Rare Chests and gives you the best odds of spawning a Duck Sprite. You can also fish the water bodies around the map, since Sprites can turn up while you are casting for the Mythic Goldfish.

| Source | Notes |
|---|---|
| Cluster Coast vault | Highest spawn chance; holds Sprite Chests and Rare Chests |
| Sprite Chests | 5.74% drop chance for the base Duck Sprite |
| Chests and Rare Chests | Standard loot sources across the map |
| Wandering spawns | Found roaming Cluster’s locations, including Cluster Coast |
| Golden Grove underground pool | Known wandering spawn spot |
| Fishing spots | Occasional pull from water bodies |

Add to Google Preferences →How to extract the Duck Sprite and keep it
Finding the Sprite is only half the job. To add it to your account permanently, you have to extract it out of the match. Once it lands in your collection, you can level it up later.
Note: If you die or leave before the timer completes, the Sprite is not saved. The Portable Extractor is the fastest way to lock one in when a fixed Extraction Site is too far away.

What the Duck Sprite does
The Duck Sprite replenishes shields while you are emoting or jamming with the Jam Track Player. The amount it restores per tick grows as you level the Sprite up during a match, climbing from 2 shield at Level 1 to 8 shield at Level 5.
| Duck Sprite Level | Shield per tick while emoting or jamming |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | 2 Shield |
| Level 2 | 3 Shield |
| Level 3 | 4 Shield |
| Level 4 | 6 Shield |
| Level 5 | 8 Shield |
At Level 5 you can dance your way back to a full 100 shield, then extract it to master the Sprite. If you emoted and did not gain any shield, check that your shields are not already full and that you are using an emote or Jam Track rather than a spray or other action.
All Duck Sprite variants and their buffs
Every variant keeps the base shield-regen effect and stacks an extra bonus on top. The base Duck Sprite costs 3,000 to summon, while each Special variant costs 6,000.

| Variant | Rarity | Extra buff |
|---|---|---|
| Duck Sprite (Base) | Epic | Emoting or Jamming replenishes shields |
| Gold Duck Sprite | Special | Bonus XP from eliminations |
| Gummy Duck Sprite | Special | 20% more Sprite Dust upon extraction |
| Galaxy Duck Sprite | Special | 30% more Ammunition when looting |
| Holofoil Duck Sprite | Special | 30% chance for your whole squad to find rare Sprite variants from Containers |
| Gem Duck Sprite | Special | 30% less Fall damage |
The Galaxy Duck Sprite spawns near vaults at locations such as Sinister Strip and Frosted Flats, while the Gummy Duck Sprite turns up in the Epic vaults at those same POIs. The Holofoil Duck Sprite is set to arrive on July 9, 2026, and the Gem Duck Sprite remains unreleased.
Keep an eye on the vault at Cluster Coast if you want the base Duck Sprite quickly, and remember that no variant counts toward your collection until you carry it through a full extraction.
