Bellanoir Libero is the Dark-element Pal numbered 195B, and it never spawns in the open world. You get it by summoning it as a raid boss, defeating a fight that swaps its own type halfway through, then hatching the Huge Dark Egg that drops when you win. The whole loop depends on collecting four slab fragments and reaching a couple of tech unlocks first.
Quick answer: Gather 4 Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragments, combine them at any workbench into a Bellanoir Libero’s Slab, offer that slab at a Summoning Altar (Level 33 tech), beat both raid phases, then incubate the Huge Dark Egg that lands in the initiator’s inventory.

Requirements before you start the Bellanoir Libero raid
Two technology unlocks gate the entire process, and both sit behind level requirements you cannot skip. The raid itself is tuned for high-level play, so treat Level 50 as the practical floor even though the game lets you challenge it earlier.
| Requirement | Unlock level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pal Expedition Station | 22 | Optional route for passively farming fragments |
| Summoning Altar | 33 | Needed to summon any raid boss; costs Stone x100 and Paldium Fragment x20 |
| Recommended character level | 50+ | The boss has huge HP and a strict 10-minute timer |
Note: the Summoning Altar can only be used once, so keep the Stone and Paldium Fragment stocked in a nearby chest before you commit to building it.

You need four Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragments in total. These are the higher-tier fragments, and they only appear in high-level dungeon chests. Be careful not to confuse them with plain Bellanoir’s Slab Fragments, which drop at lower levels and summon the weaker Bellanoir instead.
| Dungeon | Level | Fragment drop |
|---|---|---|
| Volcanic Cavern | 40 | Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragment x1 (plus Bellanoir’s x1) |
| Sacred Mountain Cavern | 45 | Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragment x2 |
Beyond fixed dungeon chests, the fragments can also turn up randomly in chests across high-level areas and Wildlife Sanctuaries. If you want a passive supplement, send expeditions from the Pal Expedition Station to Blazing Cavern and Astral Frost Cavern, which generate fragments over time. Those expeditions stay locked until you clear each area’s tower boss, so check your tower progress first or the option simply will not appear.
Tip: Snow region dungeons are worth prioritizing because their end chest can occasionally drop a complete slab rather than a single fragment, which skips the combining step entirely.

Craft the slab and summon the raid

Beat both phases of the fight
The single mistake that ends most first attempts is bringing a one-type team. Bellanoir Libero opens as a Dark type. Once you drop it to 1 HP, it fires a freezing burst in all directions, heals back roughly a third of its health, and permanently becomes an Ice type for the rest of the battle. It does not learn Ice active skills after transforming, so Dragon Pals stay safe on the offense even in phase two.
| Phase | Boss type | Best counter |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | Dark | Dragon-type Pals |
| Phase 2 (after revive) | Ice | Fire-type Pals |
The health totals explain why preparation matters. The standard boss has 450,000 HP, and the tougher Ultra version doubles that to 900,000 HP while keeping the same 10-minute timer. You need consistent super-effective damage to close either one out in time.

Best Pals, gear, and weapons for the raid
A well-invested Chillet as your mount lets you infuse your own shots with Dragon damage, which shreds the Dark phase. Pair it with a support line of Gobfin, and the Vanguard passive on all of them pushes your output higher. For base Pals that fight alongside you, Astegon is the top pick because it quad-resists Bellanoir Libero’s Dark attacks, while Jormuntide Ignis stays useful into the Ice phase thanks to super-effective Fire damage.
| Loadout slot | Recommended pick |
|---|---|
| Mount | Chillet (Ice/Dragon) |
| Support Pals | Gobfin x4 |
| Base Pals | Astegon, Jormuntide Ignis, Jetragon, Quivern |
| Head / Armor | Pal Metal Helm, Pal Metal Armor |
| Accessories | Attack Pendant, Life Pendant |
| Shield | Hyper Shield |
| Weapons | Rocket Launcher, Pump-Action Shotgun, Sword |
Set every Pal in place before you summon the boss, since you cannot rearrange your base defenders once the fight begins.
Claim and hatch the Huge Dark Egg
Winning the raid drops several rewards, but the one that matters for adding the Pal is the Huge Dark Egg. It goes straight into the inventory of the player who initiated the raid. Incubate it the same way as any other large egg, and it hatches into a Bellanoir Libero you can raise and use.
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Huge Dark Egg (Bellanoir Libero) | 1 (initiator only) |
| Ancient Civilization Core | 2 |
| Bellanoir Libero (Ultra) Slab | 1 |
| Power Fruit / Stout Fruit / Life Fruit | 1 each |
| Multiclimate Undershirt +2 | 1 |
You know it worked when the Huge Dark Egg appears in your inventory after the victory screen and, once incubated, the newly hatched Bellanoir Libero registers in your Paldeck as No. 195B. If the egg never shows up in co-op, the usual cause is that a teammate started the raid instead of you, since only the initiator receives it.

The Ultra version and repeat runs
Each victory also hands you a Bellanoir Libero (Ultra) Slab, which summons the 900,000 HP variant. That fight follows the same Dark-then-Ice pattern and shares the same drop table, with one addition: the exclusive Witch’s Crown (Ultra) headgear. Since the Summoning Altar burns out after a single use, plan to rebuild or reset it whenever you want another run, and keep farming Sacred Mountain Cavern and other high-level chests to restock fragments for future summons.
Once hatched, Bellanoir Libero brings the Nightmare Stare partner skill and the Siren of the Void passive, which boosts Dark and Ice attack damage by 30 percent each, making it a strong Dark carry in its own right after all the effort spent summoning it.
