Fuling Totems are the gate between you and Yagluth, and Valheim does not hand them over quietly. Every one of them sits inside hostile territory in the Plains, guarded by fast, loud, heavily armed goblins who hear you coming from a long way off. The good news is that the totems are always in the same kind of spot, so once you know what to look for, collecting them becomes a routine raid rather than a hunt.
Quick answer: Raid Fuling villages in the Plains and grab the totems off the small stone pedestals in front of campfires. Fuling Berserkers also drop one roughly 10 percent of the time.
Where Fuling Totems spawn in the Plains
Totems only appear in the Plains biome, and only around Fuling settlements. The big prize is a Fuling village, which you can spot from a distance by its cluster of huts, wooden watchtowers, and open campfires. Smaller Fuling outposts and the stone towers scattered across the Plains can hold them too, so it is worth checking anything that looks built rather than natural.
Inside a settlement, head for the fires. Each totem sits on a small stone pedestal directly in front of a campfire, glowing enough to catch your eye once you are close. Sailing the coastline is the easiest way to find villages, since many of them sit near the water and can be scouted from a boat before you commit to a fight.
Mark every village you find on your map. Totems return to their pedestals after a while, so a village you cleared earlier is worth revisiting instead of searching for a fresh one.
How to take a Fuling Totem from a village
Confirmation is simple. An “Added Fuling Totem x1” message appears on screen when the pickup lands, and the totem shows up in your inventory as a key item weighing 1 unit. If you do not see that message, the pedestal is still holding it and you need to interact again.
Fuling Berserker drop rate for Fuling Totems
Pedestals are not the only supply. Fuling Berserkers, the oversized club-swinging brutes that guard villages, can drop a totem when killed. The chance is the same no matter how many stars the Berserker has.

How many Fuling Totems you need to summon Yagluth
You need five Fuling Totems to call Yagluth, the Plains boss. Take them to the sacrificial altar in the Plains, the ring of standing stones with a stone hand at its center, and place the totems there to start the fight.
Finding the altar is often the harder half of the job. Totems stack up to 30 in a single inventory slot, so there is no penalty for collecting extras while you are still combing the Plains for the summoning site. Many players end up with a surplus long before they stumble across the stones.
