Where to find Laurie’s Recording, Loomis Log #11, and Nurse Chambers’s Recording during Into the Shadows.

Into the Shadows is the last chapter of Michael’s Story, and it holds the final three of the 14 recordings scattered across the campaign. Pick them all up here and the set is complete, which is the only way to unlock the Collector achievement. The chapter also happens to be the most hostile place to go sightseeing, since Michael starts damaged, Shape Jump is offline, and police patrols fill the streets with flashlights.

Quick answer: Grab Laurie’s Recording from the small table beside the lamp on the ground floor of the house you spawn in, Loomis Log #11 from the windowsill in the upstairs bedroom of the Wallace House (1535) to the south, and Nurse Chambers’s Recording from the shelving unit in the living room of house 1456 in the northeast, east of the sports field.

All three are cassette tapes, and all three sit in plain sight once you are inside the right building. The in-game counter labels them 12/14, 13/14, and 14/14.

What Chapter 5 takes away before you start collecting

Michael opens Into the Shadows badly hurt, and Shape Jump stays locked until you rebuild him back to Tier 3. Until then you are walking every block on foot, which makes the trip between the three houses considerably slower than it looks on the minimap. Police officers also introduce detainment pressure, so a cluster of flashlights between you and a front door is a real obstacle rather than background noise.

The practical order is to secure the tape in your starting house first, rebuild to Tier 3 away from the densest patrol group, then use Shape Jump to cover the long stretch south to the Wallace House and back up to the northeast corner. The chapter’s objective list runs alongside all of this, including the optional Bloodthirst prompt and the eventual escape marker.

Laurie’s Recording location (12/14)

This one is the easiest of the three because you begin the chapter next to it. The house you spawn in is the Doyle residence, and the tape never leaves the ground floor.

Walk up to the front door of the starting house and wait for the interaction reticle to appear on it. Open the door and step inside rather than circling the property.

Close the door behind you using the E Close prompt. An open front door is visible from the street, and Chapter 5 has far more people outside than earlier chapters did.

Head for the dining area on the ground floor and look for the small wooden table with a lamp on it. Laurie’s Recording sits right beside the lamp, and the collect prompt appears as soon as you face it.

Loomis Log #11 location (13/14)

Loomis Log #11 is back at the Wallace House in the south of town, numbered 1535, which is the same two-story home that anchored The Babysitters. If you placed Annie in the upstairs bedroom during Chapter 4, that is the room you want.

Travel south to the Wallace House and enter through the front. Deal with anyone inside before you start searching, since interruptions mid-pickup will pull you off the tape.
Go upstairs to the front corner bedroom. The tape rests on the windowsill on the right side of the room, near the corner rather than on any of the furniture.

Tip: interior lights can be switched off with the Flip Switch prompt on a wall switch. Darkening a room is useful when officers are sweeping the street outside with flashlights.

Nurse Chambers’s Recording location (14/14)

The last tape sits on the opposite side of town from the Wallace House. Head to the northeast side of Haddonfield and look for the residence east of the sports field, marked 1456, with a jack-o’-lantern on the porch.

Enter 1456 through the front and move into the living room. The room is on the ground floor and does not require any detour upstairs.
Face the wooden shelving cabinet across from the fireplace. Nurse Chambers’s Recording is on the shelf unit itself, not the mantel.

How to confirm all 14 recordings are collected

Two things confirm it. The Collector achievement pops the moment you pick up your fourteenth recording, whichever of the three that happens to be. The Chapter 5 completion summary screen also lists Loomis Log #11, Laurie’s Recording, and Nurse Chambers’s Recording as checked off once you finish the chapter.

Every tape you own can be replayed from the Recordings section of the Graveyard menu, so an empty slot there tells you exactly which chapter still needs a return trip. Recordings only exist in Michael’s Story, and chapter select lets you restart a single chapter instead of replaying the whole campaign.

Only one thing reliably costs people the Chapter 5 set. Once the objective switches to escaping Haddonfield and you commit to the route out of town, the run ends and any tape you skipped stays uncollected until you replay Into the Shadows. Clear all three houses before you take the exit.

If the Collector achievement still has not unlocked after clearing Into the Shadows, the gap is almost certainly in an earlier chapter rather than this one. Chapter 4 holds three recordings, the Prologue and Chapters 1 through 3 hold two each, and the Graveyard menu will show you which slot is still blank before you commit to a replay.
