The Artificer’s Boots are a cosmetic foot piece from the Artificer’s Set in Enshrouded. You get the first pair from a single chest in the Gardens of Earthly Delights, on the sky islands of Cinder’s Cradle. That chest sits inside a workshop full of hostile constructs. Opening it gives you the boots and adds their recipe to the Lunar New Year Trader, so you can craft more copies later.
Quick answer: Fast travel to Cinder’s Cradle – Sky Islands, open the round vault door, glide to the Gardens of Earthly Delights, take the right-hand doorway, and loot the chest in the back corner.
Artificer’s Boots chest route in Gardens Of Earthly Delights
The trip is short, about a minute from the altar to the chest. The chest area is a level 50 zone, so a high-level character makes the run much easier. The constructs inside hit hard, and there are several of them.

The constructs keep attacking while you loot. Once the chest is empty, go back out the same doorway to get clear.

You know it worked when this banner appears as you loot the chest: RECIPE UNLOCKED! Artificer’s Boots at Lunar New Year Trader. The boots also go into your backpack. They are labeled as a foot cosmetic, which means they change how your feet look and add no armor.

To wear them, open the character appearance screen and place the Artificer’s Boots in the foot cosmetic slot. Your real boots stay equipped underneath, so their armor and perks still count. Only the look changes.
The boots are heavy, gold-trimmed workshop footwear. In the lore, they are built to stand up to sharp machine parts and turning gears, which fits the construct workshop where you find them.
Crafting extra Artificer’s Boots at the Lunar New Year Trader
After opening the chest unlocks the recipe, Mei-Yin Chen can make the boots for you. The Lunar New Year Trader lives in the Springlands and sells seasonal goods as well as duplicate cosmetic outfits. The recipe costs Gold Coins. As with her other clothing recipes, it must be crafted under a roof, so her place at your base needs to qualify as shelter.

Mei-Yin Chen also makes the rest of the Artificer’s Set: the Artificer’s Helmet, Artificer’s Chest, Artificer’s Gloves and Artificer’s Pants. Each piece needs its own recipe unlock first.

Lucent Axe from the same chest
The chest also gives a few Gold Coins and a level 50 Lucent Axe. The Lucent Axe is a Legendary one-handed axe for the Warrior class. Its damage is split evenly between Cutting and Ice, it attacks every 0.6 seconds, and it has a 24% Backstab Damage perk and a 24% Critical Strike Damage perk. Its damage at each item level is below.

| Item level | Damage | Item level | Damage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 11 | 30 | 55 |
| 5 | 17 | 35 | 62 |
| 10 | 25 | 40 | 70 |
| 15 | 32 | 45 | 77 |
| 20 | 40 | 50 | 85 |
| 25 | 47 | 55 | 92 |
The level 50 copy from this chest deals 85 damage. That is enough to make the axe a useful weapon for Warrior builds that pass through the sky islands, even if the boots are what you came for.
