How to reach the study room from the bell

Ascend the steps from the bell and go inside. Tables, pots, and blue-and-white vases crowd the ground floor.

Find the wooden staircase with a red runner and take the first flight up to a landing. Cross the landing and take the second flight up in the opposite direction.

Climb the third flight of stairs to the study level. You’ve reached the correct room if it has a long layout, a patterned rug, scroll-filled bookshelves, painted wall panels, a circular moon window, and red-cushioned seats.

Painting scroll puzzle solution

The puzzle uses two objects in the same room. The painting scroll is the locked side, and a glowing wisp across the room is the key.

At the corridor’s end, enter the small shrine room with the statue altar and collect the memory flower petal of the Aberrant Three-faced Puppet.

Find the shadowed opening in the wall beside the altar; it leads into a high stairwell hung with red lanterns. Go through the opening and descend the stairs, passing the tall lattice windows.
