With Exotic Sea Shells equipped, the same kill yields extra Wildlife Products, so that Ocelot hands you two pelts instead of one. The effect applies to every creature, which roughly halves the number of rare animals you need to hunt to hit the same crafting totals.
Those Wildlife Products feed straight into Edward’s personal equipment upgrades. Health boosts, ammo pouches, pistol holsters, and dart pouches all draw on animal hides, bones, and pelts, and the animals you need get rarer the deeper you push into the campaign. Grabbing this trinket during your first Havana visit builds a head start that compounds over dozens of hours.
How to equip the trinket
The trinket sits in your inventory until you slot it, and the perk only works while it is equipped. Open the character menu, go to the inventory screen, and place Exotic Sea Shells into Trinket Slot A or Trinket Slot B.
