The Trench is a named place on Spaceport, in the north-east of the map. South Trench Tower is about 80 m away, North Trench Tower about 100 m, and East Hangar about 160 m.
In an ordinary round there are 2 spots for Worn Backpacks. A round fills only some of the possible spots, so you will not always find both. ARC can appear here too, with one area for a large ground machine and one for a large flying machine. Which machine shows up varies from round to round. There is also a zipline.
The nearest way out is the Central Elevator, about 210 m in a straight line. Trench Hatch West is about 220 m away and Trench Hatch East about 240 m. Spaceport has more than one level, so the walk can be longer than the straight line. Cold Snap rounds bring 5 container spots of their own here, and Lush Blooms rounds have 4.
