The Worn Backpack is a loot container you open for items, and it turns up on 7 maps. Pendola Pass has the most spots in an ordinary round at 82, followed by Riven Tides with 55 and Stella Montis with 49. The Blue Gate has 44, Buried City 40, Spaceport 38 and Dam Battlegrounds 34.
Not every spot holds a backpack: a round fills only some of them, chosen when the round starts. On Pendola Pass the spots fall into 9 groups, and in the largest a round fills just 4 of the 23. Each backpack holds 2 to 5 item stacks, and the contents change from round to round. Look first in Old Town and Railyard on Pendola Pass, Stacking Yard and Hotel Panorama Azzurro on Riven Tides, Village and Maintenance Wing on The Blue Gate, and Assembly Workshops and Lobby Metro on Stella Montis.
Certain map conditions on Pendola Pass bring 2 spots of their own.
