A Snow Pile is a loot container you open for items. In an ordinary round, with no map condition running, it turns up on one map: Pendola Pass, which has 20 spots.
Each Snow Pile holds 2 to 3 item stacks, and what's inside changes from round to round. On Pendola Pass, head to Researcher Lodgings first, with 4 spots, then check Deep-Space Telescope and Piazza della Rupe, with 2 each. Cold Snap, a difficulty 3 of 5 map condition, brings Snow Piles of its own to 759 spots: Spaceport has 225, The Blue Gate 204, Dam Battlegrounds 189 and Buried City 141.
