The Crashed ARC Probe is a container you open for loot. In an ordinary round it turns up on four maps: Dam Battlegrounds has the most with 18 spots, followed by The Blue Gate with 14, Riven Tides with 13 and Buried City with 10.
Not every spot holds a probe. Which ones are filled is decided when the round starts, and on Dam Battlegrounds a round fills 2 to 5 of the 18. There, check Hydroponic Dome Complex and Small Creek first, with 2 each. On The Blue Gate, Village has 2, and on Riven Tides, Dried Riverbed, Mulatierra Hill and Wavebreaker have 2 apiece. Buried City spreads its spots thinly, with one each at places like Outskirts, West Village and Piazza Roma.
Map conditions bring probes of their own. Electromagnetic Storm rounds have 32 spots across Dam Battlegrounds and The Blue Gate. On Spaceport, probes only appear under map conditions: Hidden Bunker rounds have 21 spots there, as do certain other conditions.
