In-game description
Winter's Path is a spellbook from the Implements category. Opening it unleashes a powerful frost spell, and anyone can use it, including characters whose vocation cannot cast spells of their own. It gives a party without a mage a way to bring cold magick into a fight.
The map has 10 spots where it lies on the ground ready to pick up. 3 of them are around Bakbattahl and 2 are near Mountain Base Cave, with others near Checkpoint Rest Town, Norgandian Settlement and Sacred Arbor. It also turns up in 15 treasure chests. 4 of those chests are around Mountain Base Cave, so between the loose copies and the chests that area is worth a dedicated trip. Other chests sit near Bakbattahl, Castletown Campground, Dragonsbreath Tower and Forgotten Ruins. Barbatos, Lost Mercenary and Wight drop it, and you can buy it from Eldart's Apothecary, the Rare Book Stand, Domingo, Elsa and Morgus.
