Enshrouded 1.0: How to Get Granite

Mine it from grey mountain rock near the Nomad Highlands spire, or farm it from Scavengers, for Flame Altar and building needs.

Mine it from grey mountain rock near the Nomad Highlands spire, or farm it from Scavengers, for Flame Altar and building needs.

Granite is a building stone in Enshrouded, described in-game as “A magmatic deep rock mostly consisting of feldspar, quartz, and mica.” You collect it by mining grey rock with your pickaxe, and it stacks up to 1,000. It feeds a long list of building blocks, stone furniture, dyes, and a Flame Altar upgrade.

Quick answer: Travel to the Ancient Spire in the Nomad Highlands, step onto the rocky terrain, and use your pickaxe on grey rock until Granite appears as a pickup on the screen’s left side.

Mine Granite near the Nomad Highlands spire

The reliable way to gather Granite is to mine it straight from the mountain rock. One clear route uses the Ancient Spire in the Nomad Highlands as your drop-off point.

Open your map and fast travel to the Ancient Spire in the Nomad Highlands. You can open the interactive Enshrouded map if you want to check spire placements before you set off.
Leave the spire and cross onto the rocky terrain, where you’ll find the grey stone you need.

With your pickaxe equipped, hit the grey rock and keep an eye on the screen’s left side. Seeing the Granite pickup there confirms you’re striking the right stone.

Get Granite from Scavengers

Scavengers are another source of Granite. Each type has a 30% chance to yield 1 or 2 Granite when killed; searching a corpse gives the same 30% odds of finding 1 or 2. These chances apply to all seven types:

  • Scab
  • Scalper
  • Butcher
  • Bully
  • Scrapshield
  • Miner
  • Pyreblade

Scavengers appear most often in the Albaneve Summits and the Kindlewastes.
