Slaughtermill is a windmill that the plague has brought to life. French officers were drawn to it under a false pretext and killed before they could fight back, and the creature takes its shape from that killing and the terror, treachery and helplessness of it. Its blades turn without pause, and screams sound from somewhere inside its frame. You fight it in the Vale of Wrath, a region that opens in main quest chapter 5, CRIME. The nearest Lantern to the arena is Old Windmill, which is the place to rest before each attempt.

The fight runs across 3 phases, and Slaughtermill summons 1 Carrion to fight alongside it. Its small wave, big wave and ground tentacles cannot be blocked, so dodge those instead of raising your guard. Its attacks do not build up Ignite or Stasis, so you only need to deal with direct hits. Defeating it gives 30,000 Catalysts and unlocks the Quixotry achievement.
