University in Valor Mortis

The University is region IX of Valor Mortis, and chapter 9 of the main quest, IN RUINS, opens here. It was once the pride of the city, and war has turned it into a grim reminder of how quickly fine ideals can be torn apart. Death waits throughout the building, but its worst secrets lie further down, in the dark levels beneath it.

Lanterns stand at the Main Hall, the Lift Shaft, the Laboratories and the Sewage Drain. The Orphan is the boss you fight here. Look for the Ambers Lunatic's Grasp, Payback and Warrior's Fury. The map holds 13 chests, 3 of them trapped, so open them with care. Pick up the Auditorium Key, the Library Key and the Lift Shaft Key, along with 2 notes. The altar here rewards Shield Transmutation.
