Fortress is region X of Valor Mortis: a once-grand castle, now wrecked, that Napoleon's army has taken over as a makeshift armoury. Inside its broken walls, centuries of sacred history sit alongside the machinery of the current war. Chapter 10 of the main quest, SHACKLED, opens here.
Lanterns stand at the Main Gate, Traverse, Chapel, Ramparts, Courtyard and High Tower. Captain Raphael of the Nephtis Superioris is fought in Fortress. The Ambers to pick up here are Fire Breathing, Glass Soldier, Indestructible Shell, Life Diverted, Lucky Shot, Potent Concoction and Tomorrow's Promise. The map holds 16 chests, and 3 of them are trapped, so take care when you open them. Look for the Captain's Key and the Fortress Armory Key, along with 9 notes scattered through the castle.
The side quest Two Towers takes place in Fortress.
