City of Orphans is region VIII of Valor Mortis, and chapter 8 of the main quest, BLASPHEMY, opens here. It is a city steeped in grief, its cold, deserted streets filled with the noise of beasts and the low moan of the wind. The University towers over it, a place said to hold answers for anyone who can endure the gloom beneath it.
Lanterns stand at Tribunal Square, Shamble Street and the Sewers. Look for the Ambers Bottomless Well, Bountiful Harvest, Life Diverted and Sixth Sense. The map holds 13 chests, 1 of them trapped, so open them with care. Pick up the Sewers Key and the Sewers Master Key while you explore, along with 16 notes lying around the city. Expect Risen Musketeers, Risen Grenadiers, Risen Duellists, Spewers, Howlers, a Swarm Mother and the Remnants of the Iron Regiment among the enemies.
The side quests Afraid of the Dark, Bedtime Stories, Misericorde, Monster Hunt and Mummy and Daddy take place here.
