The Clock Tower packs relics, weapons, Heart Fragments and stat books into dozens of rooms, and more than half of its Secret Areas are empty. Knowing which spots hold something saves a lot of backtracking. Everything below is grouped by the Mirror of Life nearest to it, so you can save and refill between sweeps.

How the Clock Tower’s Secret Areas open
Secret Areas in the Clock Tower come in three kinds. A hidden passage has no lever, switch or wall to break; the way in is hidden in the wall itself. The game’s tutorial card “Secret Areas” reads: “Some secret areas are hidden behind walls. Look out for the visual and audio clues.” A breakable wall is a cracked section you hit with your weapon until it breaks, with the Secret Area behind it. A lever gate is a gate that a lever opens.
To pull a lever, press INTERACT (R1 on PlayStation or E on PC). The Clock Tower contains no Secret Areas with Smash floors.
You find Smash in the Clock Tower’s Final Trap, alongside the Arcana of Talos. This skill lets you open Smash floors elsewhere in the castle.

Master’s Quarters
Within Dracula’s Castle, the Master’s Quarters connects to the Clock Tower by way of the Master’s Bridge. This area includes Castle Rooftops, Court of the Night, Grand Staircase, Master’s Bridge, Sanctuary of Solitude and Throne Room Antechamber. The Sanctuary of Solitude contains the lone Mirror of Life as well as Ferryman’s Wharf. Dracula is battled in Court of the Night and Castle Rooftops; the closest Mirror of Life is in Sanctuary of Solitude.
Gloomstone (relic), in a chest inside a Secret Area (hidden passage) in the Sanctuary of Solitude. Its card reads: “Gives a hint when Rose is close to a secret.” Worth equipping if you go back for missed Secret Areas anywhere.- There are 3 Secret Areas, each a hidden passage in the Sanctuary of Solitude; the Gloomstone area is the only one with a pickup.
- This area has no meat, XP statues, books or Heart Fragments.
- Arcanic Resonance on the Castle Rooftops: have Absolution (The Self’s spell) equipped when Dracula’s second form falls there for the true ending (true ending guide).
