DMZ in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 tracks your boss kills on a single wall screen back at base. That screen is the Boss Board. It shows which Lieutenants and Commanders you have taken down and lets you pay for intel on a target. It also runs three long-term Lieutenant challenges. Killing a boss does not complete its card. The card changes once you get that boss’s dog tag out of Hajin alive.
Quick answer: At the FOB, use the BOSS BOARD prompt on the boss-portrait wall screen. Kill a listed boss in Hajin, then extract its dog tag, and its card reads CLAIMED.
Boss Board location at the FOB
Between deployments, return to the DMZ’s Forward Operating Base (FOB), where you’ll find the Boss Board. A broad screen fixed to the wall displays boss portraits in a grid beside piles of green equipment cases. Approach it to see the interaction prompt BOSS BOARD.
The BOSS BOARD header runs across the top of the screen, and your BANK balance shows in the top right corner (for example, $98,800 / $250K). Two tabs sit at the top, LIEUTENANTS and COMMANDERS. On controller, switch between them with L1 and R1. Arrows at the edges of the screen scroll the cards left and right.
Lieutenant and Commander rewards on the Boss Board
Each tab lists one tier of boss, and the two tiers pay out at different amounts.

Lieutenants on the board
The LIEUTENANTS tab holds these ten bosses, each with its own card, portrait and a REWARD of $10,000:

Each card has two small counters along the bottom, a skull icon and a dog-tag icon, each with a number next to it. A Lieutenant you have killed and extracted twice reads 2 and 2. One you have never fought reads 0 and 0. Some cards, including Jin-Tae, Bale and Roze, also show a padlock with the word INTEL beneath the reward.
Commanders on the board
The COMMANDERS tab has three cards: COMMANDER COLOSSUS, COMMANDER DEATH STALKER and COMMANDER TANK. Each card carries a REWARD of $50,000. Commanders move around Hajin instead of waiting at a fixed spot. When you get close to one, a COMMANDER banner appears with the boss’s name and the area. After you claim a Commander, its card reads REWARD with a tick and CLAIMED, and its skull counter rises to 1.
Buying Lieutenant intel on the Boss Board
Select a Lieutenant’s card and a BUY INTEL line appears beneath it. The price reads BUY INTEL: $25000, and on a PlayStation controller you buy with X. In the match, the purchase shows up on your HUD as a side op named after the target, such as “Paid Intel: Kill Gorani” or “Paid Intel: Kill Bale”.
You can also find Lieutenants for free. Hajin has Lieutenant Hunt towers. Climb one and use the terminal at the top to receive a “Reach the Lieutenant’s Location” side op.
Boss Board Lieutenant challenges
At the bottom of the LIEUTENANTS tab, three ongoing challenges each have a progress bar tracking a total of 10 Lieutenants.

The bars track separately, so the board can show something like 2/10 on the kill challenge and 1/10 on the first dog tag challenge at the same time. A large REWARD icon shaped like a skull pendant sits in the bottom right corner of the tab.
How to claim a Boss Board reward
Carrying a Lieutenant’s dog tag reveals your position to enemies until extraction. Before picking it up, work out the quickest path to an exfil.
Back at the FOB, open the Boss Board to confirm the reward. The card switches to REWARD with a tick and CLAIMED, and a claimed Lieutenant also gets a red ELIMINATED tag next to its name.
