Life Diverted is an Amber that changes where your healing comes from. Equipped in an Amber Slot at a Lantern, it makes your Ferrofluid Flasks refill Nephtoglobin rather than Health. Your Health instead comes back through combat: part of the damage your Transmutations deal is drawn back into you as Health. The Amber has 3 ranks, and each further copy you pick up raises it by one rank.
Copies of Life Diverted sit in chests in several regions. On The Battlefield, look for the chest near the Onslaught Arch Lantern. In Cursed Hollow, the chest is closest to the Deep Water Lantern. The City of Orphans holds a copy in a chest near the Shamble Street Lantern, and in the Fortress the nearest Lantern to its chest is Traverse. Your first copy gives you the Amber, and any copy you open after that takes it up a rank, so these chests are worth opening if you plan to lean on Transmutations for your Health.
