Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse begins in Paris Streets, within the City of Paris. A single trip through the area cannot collect all its pickups: some are in chests on the main path, while others require defeating bosses or finding hidden areas. The full list below follows the districts in the order you reach them and uses the launch values for version 1.0.
Quick answer: Paris Streets holds 28 XP statues, 10 clues, 5 Mirrors of Life, 5 relics, 4 weapons, 4 whole meat, 3 bosses, 3 Arcana cards, 3 spells, 3 keepsakes, 3 Brave Heart Fragments, 3 Wise Heart Fragments, 3 ATK UP books, 3 DEF UP books, 2 abilities, 1 Ferryman’s Wharf, 1 sealed door and 1 Mammon’s altar.
Item checklists by area, with a map link for every item: Paris Streets, Holy Innocents’ Cemetery, Catacombs of Paris, Main Hall, Library, Clock Tower and Master’s Quarters, Notre-Dame, Hall of Mirrors.
Paris Streets at a glance
The Fallen (Leon) waits at the Gate to the Catacombs, and heading right from his arena plays a short scene in the Abandoned Sewers that gives Rose the Arcane Whip, which lets her grapple onto glowing anchors. Joan of Arc is fought on the Roof of the Tower, at the top of the Prison Tower, and beating her gives you The Warrior’s Key, The Warrior Arcana (Infernal Pyre) and Holy Light on the Stairs to the Tower Roof. The Gate to the Catacombs needs three keys, The Fallen’s Key, The Prophetess’s Key (Medusa) and The Warrior’s Key (Joan), as covered in the Gate to the Catacombs guide. The Palace of Justice, with Saint Louis, The Judge Arcana and Valmanway, belongs to the late game through the Scales of Justice, and the Hospital holds the Thrilling Eye, one of the three eyes for Mammon’s door in the Catacombs. The five Mirrors of Life are in the Undercity, Central Sewer Drain, Burned District, Prison Tower and Gate to the Stone Bridge.
