Chocobos outside a house in the Village of Kol

Final Fantasy Resonance has 40 achievements on Steam, and the last one, “Ultimate Fantasy”, unlocks when you have all the others. Eight come from finishing story chapters. The rest come from the Colosseum leagues, Visions, Espers, cave masters, gil totals and a few rare enemies.

All percentages are Steam’s global unlock rates four days after the game launched on PC on 22 October 2026. Each achievement shows a pop-up the moment it unlocks, and the Steam list for the game marks it as earned.

Every achievement at a glance

The 40 achievements split into eight for the story, three for the Colosseum, five for Visions, two for Espers, three for cave masters, two for gil, three for rare enemies and bosses, and 14 for everything else.

Story achievements

Each of the eight chapters has its own achievement, and all eight stay hidden on Steam until they pop. You don’t need to do anything special to get them. Finish the chapter and the achievement unlocks. The walkthrough covers each chapter in order.

“Airship Enterprise” (“Obtain an airship.”, 16.4%) is earned through story progression. In Chapter 5, the opening objective is “Enter the airship’s interior”, so continue through the story to obtain the airship.

Party member and exploration achievements

Kweh! and Those Who Defy Fate

“Kweh!” (“Obtain a chocobo.”, 82.4%) unlocks in Chapter 1 at the Village of Kol. The Chocobo Stablehand lets the knights take a chocobo for free, and the pop-up appears as you ride out onto the desert outside Kol. More on how to get a chocobo is in its own walkthrough.

Kweh! unlocks as you ride out of Kol on your first chocobo.

“Those Who Defy Fate” (“Unlock all party members.”, 7.0%) needs the full party of Rain, Lasswell, Fina, Jake, Lid, Sakura and Nichol.

Conscience Renewed

“Conscience Renewed” (“Clear all party member substories.”, 1.5%) has no further in-game explanation. The quests below are given directly by party members, with each one granting that character an Attribute Bonus. Whether this is the precise set of substories counted by the achievement remains unverified.

Oblivion Palace, Mechabo and Aileen

“Princess’s Reward” (“Receive a reward at Oblivion Palace for the first time.”, 69.6%) and “Memento” (“Help the enigmatic princess regain her second memory.”, 6.1%) both run through the princess at Oblivion Palace. The Magicite guide explains bringing Tablet Shards to the princess at Oblivion Palace.

“Mechabo Mania” (“Upgrade Mechabo to his ultimate form.”, 4.0%) is a hidden achievement. At the Dwarven Forge, Verun offers three Mechabo side quests: “Arise, Mechabo!” and “Mechabo Evolved” during Chapter 2, followed by “Mechabo Unleashed” in Chapter 5.

“The Weapon that Suits the User” (“Have Aileen craft a weapon for the first time.”, 3.2%) and “The Weaponsmith” (“Have Aileen craft weapons for all party members.”, 0.6%) are both hidden. Aileen is the Vision from the Chapter 5 side quest “Forger of Wills”, and you find her at the shipyard in Dilmagia. Adamantite is one of the materials she forges with, and that guide covers how her weapon crafting works.

Twelve Legendary Arms

“Ancient Artifact” (“Obtain one of the Twelve Legendary Arms for the first time.”, 2.6%) and “Legendary Arms” (“Obtain all Twelve Legendary Arms.”, 0.4%) are hidden too. The game’s descriptions are the only conditions given for either.

Colosseum achievements

The Colosseum is in Grandshelt, the Royal Capital, and each of its three leagues has one achievement for clearing every fight in it. The Titan walkthrough covers the Fledgling League.

Vision and Esper achievements

There are 26 Visions in total, all listed in the Visions list. Five achievements track collecting, ranking and awakening them.

  • “Visions Assemble” (“Obtain 10 visions.”, 38.2%) tracks your progress toward collecting ten Visions.
  • Collecting every Vision is the requirement for “Will Crystallized” (“Obtain all visions.”, 1.8%).
  • “The First Step Towards Mastery” (“Reach max Mastery Rank for a vision for the first time.”, 33.4%) unlocks when a Vision first attains its maximum Mastery Rank.
  • Raise eight Visions to their maximum MR to earn “Vision Connoisseur” (“Reach max MR with 8 visions.”, 15.2%).
  • “Awakened Light” (“Awaken a vision to its limit for the first time.”, 11.4%) unlocks the first time a Vision reaches three stars.

Battle MRP raises a Vision’s Mastery Rank to its cap of MR 9. Awakening a Vision can add up to three stars, with Magicite required for each awakening.

Two achievements cover the Espers, which are Bahamut, Carbuncle, Ifrit, Leviathan, Odin, Ramuh, Shiva, Siren and Titan. “Esper’s Covenant” (“Gain help from 3 espers.”, 34.7%) comes first, and “The Sovereigns of the Planet” (“Gain help from all espers.”, 1.6%) needs every one in the Espers list. Ramuh is one of the optional ones; see Ramuh’s question answer for how to get him.

Battle and cave master achievements

“Keep Them on Their Toes” (“Stagger enemies 1000 times.”, 2.9%) and “Resonance Rapid Fire” (“Use Resonances 400 times.”, 0.2%) grow together. You pick a Resonance on the Select Resonance screen after a stagger, so both counts climb as you play.

Cave masters have three tiers. “Magicite Hunter” (“Defeat a cave master.”, 58.8%) is the first, “The Bigger They Are…” asks for five cave masters (12.4%), and “The Harder They Fall” (“Defeat all cave masters.”, 0.5%) needs every one. The game gives no further conditions for these.

Gil achievements

“Gil Comes and Goes” (“Spend a total of 100,000 gil.”, 29.7%) and “Making Lid Proud” (“Gain a total of 1,000,000 gil.”, 5.7%) are running totals across the whole game. The King Gil Snapper’s trait reads “Awards a large amount of gil.”

Rare enemy and boss achievements

All three of these are hidden on Steam. Each enemy’s weaknesses appear in the enemies list.

AchievementEnemyElementsPlayers
“Struck Gold”King Gil SnapperWeak to Ice1.2%
“Priceless Experience”Metal GigantuarResists all eight1.4%
“My Name Is Ultima…”Ultima WeaponWeak to Water, Wind; resists Earth, Fire0.6%

King Gil Snapper (“Defeat a King Gil Snapper for the first time.”) has the traits “Counterattacks when hit with physical attacks.”, “Has high magic defense.” and “Awards a large amount of gil.” Its weakness is Ice, and physical hits draw a counterattack.

Metal Gigantuar (“Defeat a Metal Gigantuar for the first time.”) has the traits “Extremely durable.”, “Has high evasion.” and “Awards a large amount of EXP.” It has no elemental weakness to exploit. The smaller Metal Cactuar has the same three traits; see the Cactuar location guide.

Ultima Weapon (“Defeat Ultima Weapon.”) is a boss whose traits include “Shifts between different modes.”, “Uses a skill that restores stagger gauge.” and “Frequently uses status ailment attacks.” “Ultimate Fantasy” (“Obtain all achievements.”, 0.1%) is the 40th achievement.

Missable achievements

So far, no achievement has been verified as missable. Story, Vision, Esper, gil and battle objectives accumulate during ordinary play. As of Chapter 1, nothing seen in play closes off.
