Hold the spell button to absorb the curse from all nearby enemies, purging their evil, dealing massive damage, and healing Rose for each enemy hit.
Absolution
The Doppelganger waits in Notre-Dame, inside the Gallery of the Four Virtues. The closest Mirror of Life is West Triforium.
Beating it earns The Self, number 1 of the Tarot, along with the spell Absolution, which costs 50 MP. Keep the button pressed and Rose pulls the curse out of the foes around her, cleansing them, striking them hard and recovering some health for each one she hits.
Absolution has 3 Works of Mercy, and each one finished earns a Blessing to spend on a Gift. They ask you to kill 4 enemies with a single cast 5 times, explore a share of the map, and get back to full health with the spell 10 times. Its Gifts add extra damage when Rose casts at full health, set a lone target alight, and restore her to full health when a cast kills at least 4 enemies. Clues to the Arcana wait in Bank of the River Seine (The First Card) and in the Gallery of the Four Virtues itself (The Prophecy).
