Blood Spikes
Carmilla first shows up for an intro fight in the Main Hall of Castle Drawbridge, with the closest Mirror of Life at Entrance Corridor. The proper fight takes place in the Library, in the Observatory, and the nearest Mirror of Life is Rhetoric Shelves.
Beating her earns The Occultist, card 7 of the Tarot, and the spell Blood Spikes for 50 MP. It raises spikes of blood that strike foes around you for small damage and set them bleeding, and it aims at whichever foe stands farthest away on your ledge. After the fight, pick up Aerial Rush in Observation Tower, within the Library.
Blood Spikes has 3 Works of Mercy: kill 25 enemies with bleed damage, find 2 different dual blades, and keep one enemy bleeding for 10 seconds straight. Each one finished grants a Blessing for a Gift: bleeding a foe that is already bleeding hits it at once, bleed kills restore part of Rose's max health, and bleeding foes slow down and hurt Rose less. Look for clues to The Occultist such as Blood Poem in Natural Philosophy Shelves and Star Chart in Astronomer's Office.
