Death in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

Unleashes a slow but devastating scythe attack. Any enemy killed this way creates 4 sickles that are thrown around.

Soul Harvest

Death first appears in an intro fight at the Altar of Bones in the Catacombs of Paris, where the closest Mirror of Life is Realm of Old Night. The full fight takes place in the Choir of Notre-Dame, with the nearest Mirror of Life in the East Gallery.

Beating Death wins you The Shadow, Arcana number 8 of the Tarot, and its spell Soul Harvest. For 60 MP, Soul Harvest delivers a slow but crushing scythe strike, and any enemy it kills throws out 4 sickles. Once the Arcana is yours, pick up Double Jump in the Choir.

Soul Harvest has 3 Works of Mercy: solve the hidden puzzle in Notre-Dame, kill 44 skeletons of any kind, and kill 4 enemies with a single cast of the spell. Each one earns a Blessing for a Gift. The Gifts heal Rose when the spell hits a lone enemy, split a sickle into 4 more when it kills, or return mana for each sickle hit. Clues to The Shadow include a Death Mark in the Charnel Galleries and Melody Sheets in La Flèche and the Great Organ Room.
