Boss arenas are the spots where you face the game's bosses, and the maps of Paris and Dracula's castle show 19 of them. Most bosses carry an Arcana. When you defeat one, you absorb it and gain its spell, ability or key.

Notre-Dame holds 4 arenas, more than any other area. Main Hall and Paris Streets follow with 3 each, and Catacombs of Paris, Master's Quarters and Clock Tower have 2 apiece. Carmilla, Death, Dracula, Isaac and Joan each turn up at 2 arenas. Medusa, Talos, Saint Louis and the Succubus each hold 1.
