Amber
Indestructible Shell is an Amber that lowers the damage you take from explosions. It does nothing sitting in your inventory: you need to equip it in an Amber Slot at a Lantern, and from then on its effect works passively while you play. The Amber has 3 ranks. Each further copy you pick up raises it by one rank, so tracking down more copies is how you make it stronger.
In the Valley of Ashes, a copy sits in a chest near the Demolished Path Lantern. Cursed Hollow holds another in a trapped chest, with Deep Water as the nearest Lantern, so approach that chest with care before you open it. In the Fortress, look for a chest close to the Chapel Lantern. Resting at each of these Lanterns first gives you a nearby place to slot the Amber once you have it.
