This icy pond is marked by the grim remains of those killed by the Moon Cult, their bodies impaled on sharp ice shards. It seems the victims were random travelers, trying to reach Metropolis.

Frozen Pond is a scavenging area on the Permafrost world map. The Moon Cult killed travellers here who were making their way towards Metropolis, and left the bodies pinned on spikes of ice around the pond.

Frozen bodies are the main thing to search, with a few wooden crates alongside them. Most of the boulders nearby are Coal Boulders. There are also Flint, Rock and Copper Boulders and a single Moonrock Boulder. Pick up the recipe notes here to learn the Moon Cult Helmet. Watch for a wolf in the area.

Fast Travel: Church is about 380 m away in a straight line. Church is also the nearest safe zone, at about 350 m. Cougar's Den is only about 60 m from the pond, and Hunter's Glade, Candlelight Inn and Renegade Camp are each about 170 m, 190 m and 210 m away, so you can visit several of them on the same trip.
