Amber
Duellist's Focus gives you a longer window to parry when you fight with a melee weapon, so your parry timing has more room for error. Ambers sit in Amber Slots, which you fill at a Lantern, and the effect then works passively for as long as Duellist's Focus stays equipped. It comes with 1 rank, so the Amber you pick up already carries its effect in full, and slotting it is the only step left once it is in your hands.
Duellist's Focus lies in The Battlefield, inside a chest. The closest Lantern to that chest is Onslaught Arch, which makes it the sensible place to rest before you go looking for it. Open the chest to take the Amber, then head back to a Lantern to place it in a free Amber Slot and start using the wider parry window in melee.
