Butcher's Carnage ties your recovery to close-quarters fighting. Each hit you land on a foe with your weapon restores Health, so pressing forward is how you keep yourself alive. The cost is steep: with it equipped in an Amber Slot at a Lantern, your Ferrofluid Flasks stop working as a way to patch yourself up. The Amber has 3 ranks, and each further copy you pick up raises it by one rank.
In The Battlefield, look for a chest close to the Field Encampment Lantern that holds a copy. In Vale of Wrath, another chest sits near the Ship Graveyard Lantern. In The Outskirts, a third copy waits in a chest nearest the Harbour Lantern. Opening these chests is how you push Butcher's Carnage up through its ranks.
