Quick answer: Start with Sanguine Twin and Jagged Steel for early bleed, then switch to Scarlet Wraithblade and Armybreaker for Guard Break. Late game, The Lady’s Fan (340 Damage) and Thunder Spear (450 Damage) have the strongest card values.
All seven builds at a glance
Phantom Blade Zero build slots, abilities and Blackstone
Go to Character > Equip to manage any loadout. The screen has two Main Weapon spaces, two Phantom Edge spaces, two Medicine spaces and six accessory spaces. You can use three accessory spaces immediately; the remaining three stay locked until you train Boundless Capacity.
Swapping between your two main weapons restores Sha-Chi. That shapes every build below. Each one pairs two main weapons that cover each other’s gaps, then adds two Phantom Edges that spend Remnant Spark.
Spend Remnant Dust at bells to train abilities. Boundless Capacity Lv. 1 requires 10,000 Remnant Dust and has the card text “Adds 1 accessory slot.” Healing Art costs 5,000 and says “Increases Medicine uses by 1.”

Blackstone is a flat boost on top of all of it. Four Blackstone Shards form one Blackstone, and each one “permanently increases 10% Attack and Guard Break”. Every build here gets stronger as you collect Blackstone Shards.

Weapon level has a major effect on card values, meaning an early weapon with upgrades can deal more than a late weapon still at level 1. Unless a level is specified, the Damage and Guard Break values below are base card stats at level 1.
Early-game bleed build: Sanguine Twin and Jagged Steel
This is the build for the opening hours. Every part of it is available early, and it mixes speed with Bleed.
Loadout and where to get each part
| Slot | Pick | Numbers | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Weapon 1 | Dual-Wield, Damage 200, Guard Break 100 | Weeping Creek Valley (First Meeting with Yu’er bell) | |
| Main Weapon 2 | One-Handed, Damage 240, Status Effects 124 (Bleed) | Weeping Creek Valley (Rustblade Pavilion bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 1 | Destructive, Damage 309, Guard Break 208 | Weeping Creek Valley (The Axemaster’s Fall bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 2 | Martial, Damage 247, Guard Break 213 | Weeping Creek Valley (Great Waterfall bell) | |
| Accessory 1 | +5% damage (refined +10%) | Weeping Creek Valley (Red Thread Barrier bell) | |
| Accessory 2 | +7% damage and Sha-Chi depletion against attacking enemies (refined +15%) | Weeping Creek Valley (The Lady’s Rift bell) | |
| Accessory 3 | +20% healing from Medicine (refined +30% and Super Armor) | Weeping Creek Valley (Outpost bell) | |
| Accessory (swap) | +15% Parry and Perfect Dodge timing windows | Weeping Creek Valley (Valley Sha-Chi Tower Base bell) | |
| Accessory (swap) | -15% damage taken while not Guard-Broken | Weeping Creek Valley (The Axemaster’s Holding Cell bell) | |
| Medicine 1 | 40% HP at Lv 1, 50% at Lv 7 with 4 uses | On hand from the prologue | |
| Medicine 2 | -30% Sha-Chi use for 15 s, 30% HP over time | Weeping Creek Valley (The Axemaster’s Holding Cell bell), in a chest |
Sanguine Twin is a Dual-Wield weapon with 200 Damage and 100 Guard Break. Its card reads “A pair of short-handled twin blades crafted by Forge from the same material as Sanguine. Their attacks fall like rain, unmatched in speed.” Its Power Surge is Dual-Blade Flurry, and the card line for it reads “This attack is unblockable.”
In our run, Sanguine Twin’s level-5 card displayed 280 for Damage and 140 for Guard Break.

Jagged Steel is One-Handed, with 240 Damage and 124 Status Effects. Its card reads “A battered, rust-scarred blade with a jagged edge. Its slashes inflict Bleeding and can trigger Blood Loss.” Its Power Surge, Jagged Steel Rampage, fills the Bleed Gauge fast. Bleed does nothing to Puppets, Golden Bodies or Phantom Bodies.
In our run, taking Jagged Steel from level 1 up to level 2 required zero materials; its stats then became 264 Damage and 136 Status Effects.

For Phantom Edges, use Dread Axe and Hunter’s Chain Sickle. Destructive Dread Axe deals 309 Damage and 208 Guard Break, and its card describes its “high Shield-Breaking power”. It also breaks iron chains that obstruct your path, even when it is not equipped. Hunter’s Chain Sickle is Martial and has 247 Damage and 213 Guard Break. Its reach covers mid-to-long distances, and it can hook distant anchor points even while unequipped.
Fill the three open accessory slots with Battle Wraps (“Increases damage dealt to enemies by 5%.”), Hunter’s Insight (“Increases damage dealt and Sha-Chi depletion against attacking enemies by 7%”) and Medicine Case (“Increases healing from Medicine by 20%.”). Reflex Device (“Increases the timing windows for Parry and Perfect Dodge by 15%.”) and Boulderguard (“Reduces damage taken by 15% while not Guard-Broken.”) are the swap options.
Your two remedies are the Healing Gourd, which restores 40% HP at level 1, and the Focus Pill, which cuts Sha-Chi use by 30% for 15 seconds and restores 30% HP over that time.
Train abilities in this order: Healing Art (5,000), Steady Composure (5,000), Boundless Capacity Lv. 1 (10,000) and Flow Like Water (12,500). Steady Composure makes your next Light Attack after a Dodge or Parry more likely to interrupt. Flow Like Water reads “Blocking and dodging do not interrupt the current combo.” Costs for everything else are on the full abilities list.
| Ability | Remnant Dust | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | +1 Medicine use | |
| 5,000 | next Light Attack after a Dodge or Parry interrupts more | |
| 10,000 | +1 accessory slot | |
| 12,500 | blocking and dodging keep the combo going |
Why the parts fit
The reasoning is straightforward: Jagged Steel combines Bleed with greater base Damage, while Sanguine Twin is built for speed and has an unblockable Power Surge. Among early Phantom Edges, Dread Axe deals the most damage.
How to play it
Against enemies susceptible to Bleed, start with Jagged Steel and use Jagged Steel Rampage to build the gauge. Against Puppets and other foes unaffected by Bleed, change to Sanguine Twin; switching also restores Sha-Chi. Use Remnant Spark for Dread Axe when facing guarding enemies. Scarlet Wraithblade is an alternative to Jagged Steel if you prefer Guard Break over Bleed.
Guard Break build: Scarlet Wraithblade and Armybreaker
This build empties an enemy’s Sha-Chi, Guard Breaks them and punishes the opening.
Loadout and where to get each part
| Slot | Pick | Numbers | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Weapon 1 | Two-Handed, Damage 240, Guard Break 117 | Reward from Hua, Deadly Betrothed, Weeping Creek Valley (Flesh Lily Fields) | |
| Main Weapon 2 | Two-Handed, Damage 288, Guard Break 114 | Pangzhen (Marketplace bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 1 | Martial, Damage 400, Guard Break 324 | Mountain of Imprisonment (Hanging Cage Cavern bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 2 | Artifice, Damage 380, Guard Break 309 | Mountain of Imprisonment (The Lady’s Shrine bell) | |
| Accessory 1 | +5% Sha-Chi depletion (refined +10%) | Mountain of Imprisonment (The Lady’s Path bell) | |
| Accessory 2 | +7% damage to Guard-Broken enemies (refined +15%) | Weeping Creek Valley (Ruthless Archer Camp bell), in a chest | |
| Accessory 3 | Power Surge +20% damage to Guard Broken enemies (refined +30%) | Pangzhen (Marketplace bell) | |
| Accessory (swap) | +10% Two-Handed weapon damage (refined +18%) | Bought from Quick Hand Zhang, Crimson Forest hideout (30,000 Remnant Dust) | |
| Accessory (swap) | +8% Sha-Chi depletion from Heavy Attack Sha-Chi Combos | Crimson Forest (Thieves’ Camp bell) | |
| Accessory (swap) | +5% execution threshold; executions give +5% damage, up to 2 stacks | Meigu Lake (Meigu Village East Dock bell) | |
| Medicine 1 | +10% Guard Break for 30 s, 20% HP | Village of Lu (Well of the Three Puppets bell) |
Scarlet Wraithblade is Two-Handed, with 240 Damage and 117 Guard Break, the highest Guard Break among the early main weapons. Its card reads “A grotesque face grins from the hilt. This weapon has high Shield-Breaking power and can spread Red Spider Lilies across the ground, draining enemies’ Sha-Chi and HP.” Heavy Attack combos leave Red Spider Lilies. Enemies inside them move slower and lose Sha-Chi, and the lilies explode after 3 seconds.

Armybreaker is a Two-Handed weapon with 288 Damage and 114 Guard Break. Its Power Surge, Formation Breaking Art, drains a large amount of enemy Sha-Chi. Switching to Armybreaker or deflecting a Blue-flash Attack sends Soul rushing a short distance ahead.
The Phantom Edges are Ink Cut and Flying Guillotine. Ink Cut is Martial, with 400 Damage and 324 Guard Break, the highest Guard Break of any Phantom Edge. Flying Guillotine is Artifice, with 380 Damage and 309 Guard Break, and its card lists “high shield-breaking power”. It performs a ranged execution on any enemy that can be executed.
For accessories, run Baishan Writ (“Increases Sha-Chi depletion against enemies by 5%.”), Token of Pursuit (“Increases damage dealt to Guard-Broken enemies by 7%.”) and Ultimate Talisman (“Power Surge deals 20% more damage to Guard Broken enemies.”). Once more slots open, add Quick Hand Might (“Increases damage dealt with Two-Handed Weapons by 10%.”), Seal of Dugu and Deathlock. Every effect is on the accessories list.
Spirit-Returning Broth is the remedy here. It adds 10% Guard Break for 30 seconds and restores 20% HP.
Train Ascendance Lv. 1 (30,000): its description, “Increases maximum Sha-Chi Essence by 1.”, means you gain an additional Power Surge. Also train Still Mind (25,000), described as “Grants brief invincibility during a Power Surge.”, and Endless Renewal Lv. 1 (20,000 plus 1 Blackstone), which restores HP and Sha-Chi after Assassinations and Executions.
| Ability | Remnant Dust | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 30,000 | +1 max Sha-Chi Essence | |
| 25,000 | brief invincibility during a Power Surge | |
| 20,000 + 1 Blackstone | Assassinations and Executions restore HP and Sha-Chi |
Why the parts fit
Quick Hand Might benefits both main weapons because each is Two-Handed. Of all the Phantom Edges, Ink Cut and Flying Guillotine have the top two Guard Break values. Guard Breaking is central to the rest of the kit, so Token of Pursuit and Ultimate Talisman become useful once an enemy’s guard is broken.
How to play it
Use Scarlet Wraithblade Heavy Attack combos to spread lilies, then switch to Armybreaker to rush in and use Formation Breaking Art. After breaking the guard, either use the Power Surge during the opening or perform a ranged execution with Flying Guillotine.
Swaps
Outlaw Warblade (Two-Handed, 240 Damage, 106 Guard Break) drains life with its Standard Combo hits if you want sustain in exchange for 11 Guard Break. Wolfjaw (Destructive, 261 Damage, 280 Guard Break) drains life on hit if you want that on a Phantom Edge instead.
Shield break build: Tianxuan Bronze Sword and Parting Hooks
Choose this setup if you rely on blocking more than parrying or are taking on shielded opponents.
Loadout and where to get each part
| Slot | Pick | Numbers | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Weapon 1 | One-Handed, Damage 240, Guard Break 106 | Village of Lu (The Lady Grounds bell) | |
| Main Weapon 2 | Dual-Wield, Damage 288, Guard Break 118 | Pangzhen (Dockside Warehouse bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 1 | Destructive, Damage 221, Guard Break 237 | Mandate Encampment (Main Encampment Gate bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 2 | Destructive, Damage 309, Guard Break 208 | Weeping Creek Valley (The Axemaster’s Fall bell) | |
| Accessory 1 | +50% damage to Shield Durability, -30% damage from Spiked Shields | Crimson Forest (Abandoned Main Road bell), in a chest | |
| Accessory 2 | -20% Sha-Chi used when blocking (refined -30%) | Weeping Creek Valley (Outpost bell) | |
| Accessory 3 | Destructive Phantom Edges cost 1 more Remnant Spark and deal +75% damage | Mandate Encampment (Training Grounds Depths bell) | |
| Accessory (swap) | +10% One-Handed weapon damage (refined +18%) | Crimson Forest (Thieves’ Camp bell) | |
| Medicine 1 | -20% damage taken for 15 s, 40% HP over 10 s | See its guide |
Tianxuan Bronze Sword is One-Handed, with 240 Damage and 106 Guard Break. Its card reads “A bronze sword, masterful in its simplicity. It offers high Shield-Breaking power when attacking and rock-solid defense when blocking.” Its Natural Order line reads “Reduces Sha-Chi consumption when blocking attacks, but disables parrying.”
In our run, at level 5, Tianxuan Bronze Sword’s card listed 336 for Damage and 149 for Guard Break.

Parting Hooks are Dual-Wield, with 288 Damage and 118 Guard Break. The card reads “The hooks trace arcs like waning moons. They can assume a Guard Stance to turn defense into offense and have high shield-breaking power.” Block plus Heavy Attack takes the Guard Stance, which counters melee attacks. It can’t counter Black-Flash Attacks.
Both Phantom Edges are Destructive. Bashpole has 221 Damage and 237 Guard Break with “high shield-breaking power”. Dread Axe has 309 Damage and 208 Guard Break with “high Shield-Breaking power”.
The accessories are Shieldbreaker Talisman (“Increases damage dealt to Shield Durability by 50% and reduces damage taken from Spiked Shields by 30%.”), Shenji’s Ring (“Holding [Block] to block attacks reduces Sha-Chi consumption by 20%.”) and Guardian Idol (“Destruction-type Phantom Edges consume 1 additional Remnant Spark and deal 75% more damage.”). An extra slot takes Quick Hand Pendant (“Increases One-Handed weapon damage by 10%.”).
Bring Kuye Dew, which cuts damage taken by 20% for 15 seconds and restores 40% HP over 10 seconds. Train Still Depths Lv. 1 (30,000: “Increases maximum Remnant Spark by 1.”), which covers Guardian Idol’s extra cost, and Redirect Force (40,000: “Dodging or Parrying an enemy attack restores Sha-Chi.”).
| Ability | Remnant Dust | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 30,000 | +1 max Remnant Spark | |
| 40,000 | Dodging or Parrying restores Sha-Chi |
Why the parts fit
All four weapon cards identify strong shield damage. Shenji’s Ring pairs well with Tianxuan’s lower blocking cost, and Guardian Idol boosts the two Phantom Edges because they are Destructive.
How to play it
Use Tianxuan Bronze Sword to hold Block rather than parry. Switch afterward to Parting Hooks and counter incoming melee attacks with Guard Stance. Once a shield is raised, spend Remnant Spark on Dread Axe or Bashpole.
Swaps
Bonesaw is a Two-Handed weapon with 312 Damage, 142 Status Effects and “high shield-breaking power”. It serves as a late-game shield breaker. However, regular blocks use extra Sha-Chi, making it a better fit for a parry-focused approach than this block-first setup.
Frost and lightning build: Whiteshadow and Freezing Chaos
Loadout and where to get each part
| Slot | Pick | Numbers | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Weapon 1 | Two-Handed, Damage 308, Status Effects 144 (Chill) | Meigu Lake (Whiteshadow’s Fall bell) | |
| Main Weapon 2 | One-Handed, Damage 324, Status Effects 144 | Reward from Yucong, No. 34 Twisted Puppet, Crimson Forest (Threadbound Great Tree bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 1 | Martial, Damage 450, Status Effects 360 | Pangzhen (Ancestral Shrine Square bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 2 | Destructive, Damage 310, Status Effects 208 | Reward from Lei Dang, the Tiger Cannon, Mirage Estate (Perfect Vessel Pond bell) | |
| Accessory 1 | +20% Ice, Fire and Lightning damage (refined +30%) | Mirage Estate (Below the Fire Tower bell) | |
| Accessory 2 | +30% Chill effect and duration | Meigu Lake | |
| Accessory 3 | Fire, Ice, Lightning or Poison effects build Elemental Energy; full restores 1 Remnant Spark | Meigu Lake | |
| Medicine 1 | +50% Burn, Paralysis, Freeze and Bleed buildup for 15 s, 20% HP | Mirage Estate (Training Grounds bell) |
Whiteshadow is Two-Handed, with 308 Damage and 144 Status Effects. Its card reads “A shadowless blade with a gleam as cold as snow.” It inflicts Chill and builds the Frozen Gauge. Its Power Surge, White Shadow’s Frosthowl, leaves every enemy it hits Frozen.
Freezing Chaos is One-Handed, with 324 Damage and 144 Status Effects. Its card reads “Honed to sever all things, the blade rises with bone-chilling frost and falls with black flame that scorches the heavens.” Hold Block and Heavy Attack to cycle its three forms. Steel gives the most Attack and Guard Break. Chaos brings Chaotic Flame, may Ignite, and drains HP and Sha-Chi. Frost inflicts Chill and can lead to Frozen.
Thunder Spear is Martial, with 450 Damage and 360 Status Effects, the highest Damage of any Phantom Edge, and it channels lightning. Tiger Cannon is Destructive, with 310 Damage and 208 Status Effects. Its card says you hold to charge “up to 3 stages”, and “Higher charge stages deal more damage.” Its Firearm line reads “Can ignite explosive objects. Can also shatter Frozen enemies (except elite enemies).”

Equip Feather Fan Plume (“Increases Ice, Fire, and Lightning damage dealt to enemies by 20%.”), Acolyte Icicle (“Increases the Chill Effect and its duration against enemies by 30%.”) and Acolyte Whisk. The Whisk collects Elemental Energy from Fire, Ice, Lightning or Poison effects and restores 1 Remnant Spark once the energy is full.
Ritual Wine restores 20% HP and, for 15 seconds, increases Burn, Paralysis, Freeze and Bleed buildup by 50%. For abilities, first train Still Depths Lv. 1 (30,000) to add a spare Remnant Spark, then Masterful Flow Lv. 1 (30,000) to reduce the weapon swap cooldown by 2 seconds.
| Ability | Remnant Dust | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 30,000 | +1 max Remnant Spark | |
| 30,000 | weapon swap cooldown -2 s |
Why the parts fit
Whiteshadow and Freezing Chaos both build Frozen, while Tiger Cannon’s card says it can shatter Frozen enemies. Acolyte Whisk converts the status buildup into Remnant Spark for your Phantom Edges.
How to play it
Use Whiteshadow to build Chill, then unleash White Shadow’s Frosthowl to freeze multiple enemies. Charge Tiger Cannon next to shatter Frozen targets. After switching, Freezing Chaos in Frost form continues building the gauge; against elite foes, Thunder Spear delivers the heavy hit. You Loong’s Deluge inflicts Wet, making enemies more vulnerable to Lightning and Ice, and can replace Tiger Cannon alongside Thunder Spear.
Phantom Edge build: One-Eyed Bow and Seamless Death
This setup is designed for ranged combat: both Phantom Edges have Ranged type, and each main weapon can also attack from a distance.
Loadout and where to get each part
| Slot | Pick | Numbers | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Weapon 1 | Dual-Wield, Damage 288, Guard Break 114 | Mountain of Imprisonment (The Lady’s Shrine bell) | |
| Main Weapon 2 | One-Handed, Damage 228, Guard Break 96 | Reward from Hua Qianxiao, the Sword Fanatic, Crimson Forest (Pangzhen Bridge Overlook bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 1 | Ranged, Damage 214, Guard Break 162 | Meigu Lake (One-Eyed Isle Dock bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 2 | Ranged, Damage 281, Guard Break 151 | Pangzhen (Zhang’s Hideout bell) | |
| Accessory 1 | Heavy Attack hits build temporary Remnant Spark for Ranged Phantom Edges | Pangzhen (Back Hill Pavilion bell), in a chest | |
| Accessory 2 | +12% damage for all Phantom Edges (refined +18%, then +25%) | Pangzhen (Myst’s Tavern bell) | |
| Accessory 3 | +15% damage to enemies beyond a certain distance | Meigu Lake (One-Eyed Isle Dock bell) | |
| Accessory (swap) | 33% chance to restore 1 Remnant Spark on a Phantom Edge follow-up | Village of Lu (Smuggler’s Treasure Cellar bell), in a chest | |
| Medicine 1 | +10% Phantom Edge damage for 15 s, 20% HP | Village of Lu (Zhang’s Hideout bell) |
One-Eyed Bow is a Ranged Phantom Edge with 214 Damage and 162 Guard Break. Its card reads “What appears to be a bow is in fact possessed by an unknown entity from the Discordance, allowing it to unleash otherworldly death rays.” It also says the bow “Deals increased damage to enemies at full HP”. Tempering adds Rapid Shot, which charges up to 3 stages and adds one extra arrow per stage, for 1 Remnant Spark.

The other edge is Goldblaze, a Ranged weapon with 281 Damage and 151 Guard Break. That is the highest Damage among Ranged Phantom Edges. Its card describes it as “A firelock crafted from pure gold. Beyond seven paces, this weapon is faster.”
Seamless Death is Dual-Wield and has 288 Damage and 114 Guard Break. Its ring blades can be thrown. With its Power Surge, Reaping Rings, Soul retreats while tracking Flying Rings pursue the locked-on target.
The Fanatic’s Broken Blade is a One-Handed weapon with 228 Damage and 96 Guard Break. The Drinking action (Block plus Heavy Attack) replenishes Sha-Chi and applies Soul Tipsy, making attacks into Flying Sword strikes whose damage falls with distance. Tempering eliminates that damage loss.
Formless Divine Mirror builds temporary Remnant Spark on Heavy Attack hits, and Ranged-type Phantom Edges use it first. Pair it with Remnant Spark Cube (“Increases the damage of all Phantom Edges by 12%.”) and Sharpshooter’s Eye (“Increases damage dealt to enemies beyond a certain distance by 15%.”). An extra slot takes Remnant Spark Cage, which gives a Phantom Edge follow-up attack a 33% chance to restore 1 Remnant Spark.
Forbidden Concoction adds 10% Phantom Edge damage for 15 seconds and restores 20% HP. Train Still Depths Lv. 1 and Lv. 2 (30,000 and 60,000) for one more Remnant Spark each. Flowing Chi (10,000) lets certain Phantom Edges counter ranged Red-flash Attacks or follow up on Guard-Broken enemies without spending Remnant Spark. Shadowless Form (80,000) reads “Using a Phantom Edge has a 15% chance to not consume Remnant Spark.”
| Ability | Remnant Dust | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 30,000 | +1 max Remnant Spark | |
| 60,000 | +1 max Remnant Spark | |
| 10,000 | some Phantom Edges counter or follow up for no Remnant Spark | |
| 80,000 | 15% chance a Phantom Edge costs no Remnant Spark |
Why the parts fit
Because both edges are Ranged, Formless Divine Mirror feeds both. One-Eyed Bow’s full-HP bonus makes it the natural opening shot.
How to play it
Open on a fresh target with a charged One-Eyed Bow shot. Keep your distance with Seamless Death’s Reaping Rings, and use Heavy Attack hits to refill temporary Remnant Spark for the next shot. Flying Dagger (Ranged, 251 Damage, 216 Guard Break) builds Poison with every hit if you want status over raw Damage.
Summon build: Puppeteer’s Bell and Nuo Mask
Pair Puppeteer’s Bell with Nuo Mask, Fine Thread and A Puppet’s Wooden Heart so the Puppets cost less Remnant Spark, hit harder and stay longer, then run Ink Cut as the second Phantom Edge.
| Main Weapon 2 | Dual-Wield, Damage 288, Guard Break 118 | Pangzhen (Dockside Warehouse bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 1 | Summoning: 2 Puppets for up to 15 s, costs 2 Remnant Spark | Reward from Dusk, the Puppeteer, Village of Lu (Broken Puppet Pit Bottom bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 2 | Martial, Damage 400, Guard Break 324 | Mountain of Imprisonment (Hanging Cage Cavern bell) | |
| Accessory 1 | Summon-type Phantom Edges cost 1 less Remnant Spark; summons gain Berserk | Mirage Estate, built from 3 Nuo Mask Fragments | |
| Accessory 2 | +50% summon damage and Sha-Chi depletion (refined +100%) | Quick Hand Zhang’s reward for the Village of Lu treasure set (Zhang’s Hideout (Village of Lu) bell) | |
| Accessory 3 | +25% summon duration (refined +50%) | Village of Lu (Temple of Blue Fireflies bell), in a breakable object | |
| Accessory (swap) | +7% damage to Guard-Broken enemies (refined +15%) | Weeping Creek Valley (Ruthless Archer Camp bell), in a chest | |
| Medicine 1 | 40% HP at Lv 1, 50% at Lv 7 with 4 uses | On hand from the prologue | |
| Medicine 2 | -20% damage taken for 15 s, 40% HP over 10 s | Crimson Forest (Outlaw Trap bell), in a chest |
| Ability | Remnant Dust | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 10,000 | +1 accessory slot | |
| 30,000 | +1 max Remnant Spark | |
| 80,000 | 15% chance a Phantom Edge costs no Remnant Spark |
Why the parts fit
Puppeteer’s Bell has the highest Summon Health of the three summoning Phantom Edges. Its card reads “In areas dense with Sha-Chi (when the icon emits a special glow), press Ctrl to summon 1 Sword-and-Shield Puppet and 1 Spear-and-Shield Puppet. They fight for up to 15 seconds and disappear early if defeated. Summons cannot stack. Summoning again replaces any existing summons.” Each summon consumes 2 Remnant Spark.
Nuo Mask reads “Reduces the Remnant Spark cost of Summon-type Phantom Edges by 1. Summons gain Berserk, slightly increasing their damage while active.” With it equipped, each ring of the Bell drops from 2 Remnant Spark to 1.
Fine Thread reads “Increases the damage and Sha-Chi depletion caused by summon objects by 50%.” After one refinement, that figure becomes 100%.
A Puppet’s Wooden Heart reads “Increases summon duration by 25%.” That pushes the Bell’s 15 seconds to about 19 seconds. Refined to 50%, the Puppets last 22.5 seconds.
The Bell’s arts point toward Guard Break. Mindless Impact, at weapon level 25, “Greatly increases the Guard Break of all summoned Puppets.” Token of Pursuit, which adds 7% damage to Guard-Broken enemies, fills the fourth accessory slot once Boundless Capacity Lv. 1 opens it.
How to play it
The Puppets can be summoned only in areas dense with Sha-Chi while the Phantom Edge icon is glowing. In other areas, use your main weapons and Ink Cut to fight.
A second summon replaces the Puppets already on the field. Ring the Bell once and let the Puppets run their full duration instead of calling them again.
Scarlet Wraithblade and Parting Hooks serve as the main weapons. Both carry Guard Break, 117 and 118 respectively, and Parting Hooks “can assume a Guard Stance to turn defense into offense and have high shield-breaking power.”
Kuye Dew sits next to the Healing Gourd as the second medicine. It cuts damage taken by 20% for 15 seconds and restores 40% HP over 10 seconds.
Swaps
Swordsman’s Summon ranks second of the three for Summon Health and brings a Swordsman Captain and two Swordsman Disciples. Its Overwhelming Force art at weapon level 25 reads “3 swordsmen deal significantly increased damage to Guard-Broken enemies.”
Using Kuye Temple Prayer Beads costs 2 Remnant Spark and calls forth 3 Fist Bronze Men for a maximum of 15 seconds. Golden Body’s description at weapon level 5 is “Bronze Men can use the Golden Body technique to become invulnerable.”
Tempering at Myst turns Puppeteer’s Bell into Abyssal Bell, “allowing you to summon a 3rd powerful Puppet.” The upgrade costs Herald’s Lingering Threads and 5,000 Remnant Dust.
Endgame build: The Lady’s Fan and Infernal Rouge
This setup focuses on maximum card values, placing the highest base Damage cards in both main weapon slots and both Phantom Edge slots.
Loadout and where to get each part
| Slot | Pick | Numbers | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Weapon 1 | Dual-Wield, Damage 340, Guard Break 126 | Mount Soulrend (The Fallen Dream bell) | |

| Phantom Edge 1 | Martial, Damage 450, Status Effects 360 | Pangzhen (Ancestral Shrine Square bell) | |
| Phantom Edge 2 | Martial, Damage 400, Guard Break 324 | Mountain of Imprisonment (Hanging Cage Cavern bell) | |
| Accessory 1 | +10% Dual-Wielded weapon damage (refined +18%) | Bought from Quick Hand Zhang, Crimson Forest hideout (30,000 Remnant Dust) | |

| Accessory 3 | +12% damage for all Phantom Edges (refined +18%, then +25%) | Pangzhen (Myst’s Tavern bell) | |
| Accessory 4 | +5% damage (refined +10%) | Weeping Creek Valley (Red Thread Barrier bell) | |
| Accessory 5 | +20% Ice, Fire and Lightning damage (refined +30%) | Mirage Estate (Below the Fire Tower bell) | |
| Accessory 6 | Damage reduction up to 20% at full HP | Weeping Creek Valley (Crimson Manor bell) | |
| Medicine 1 | +10% damage for 30 s, 20% HP | Mandate Encampment (Training Grounds Depths bell), in a chest | |
| Medicine 2 | Restores all HP | Meigu Lake (Meigu Village East Dock bell) |
The Lady’s Fan is Dual-Wield, with 340 Damage and 126 Guard Break, the highest base Damage of any main weapon. Its card reads “A bone fan once wielded by Meng Hua before she became The Lady. It channels the powers of Ice, Fire, Lightning, and Chaos. A weapon unlike any other in the Wulin.” It stores up to 2 Arcane Sigils (Thunder, Fire or Ice) and spends them on a Sigil Burst with Block plus Heavy Attack. Fire Ice raises damage and Sha-Chi Depletion for 30 seconds.
Infernal Rouge is a One-Handed weapon with 324 Damage and 120 Guard Break, obtained by Tempering Sanguine. When you take fatal damage, Bloodline Rebirth fully restores HP and raises Attack. HP then drains, and healing is disabled until 50% of Max HP has been lost. The effect resets at a Bell or after respawning, and activates before any other revival effect. Its Power Surge, Bloodline Awakening, changes Soul into Phantom Soul for 10 seconds, greatly increasing Attack and Defense.
The Phantom Edges are Thunder Spear (Martial, 450 Damage, 360 Status Effects) and Ink Cut (Martial, 400 Damage, 324 Guard Break), the two highest-Damage Phantom Edges.
This build uses all six accessory slots. Quick Hand Pair reads “Increases Dual-Wielded weapon damage by 10%.” Crimson Resolve reads “Landing more than 2 consecutive hits within 1 second increases damage dealt to enemies by 15% for 2 seconds. 5-second cooldown.” Round it out with Remnant Spark Cube (12% more Phantom Edge damage), Battle Wraps (5% more damage), Feather Fan Plume (20% more Ice, Fire and Lightning damage, on paper a fit for the fan’s elements) and Ancient Armor Fragment (damage reduction up to 20% at full HP).
In our run, with a Dual-Wield main weapon equipped, Quick Hand Pair occupied accessory slot three.

Carry Lament Draught, which adds 10% damage for 30 seconds and restores 20% HP, and Longevity Tonic, which restores all HP. Train Boundless Capacity Lv. 2 and Lv. 3 (40,000 and 65,000) for slots five and six, Ascendance Lv. 2 (60,000) and Against All Odds (85,000), which reads “Once per battle, prevents one attack that would reduce HP below 10%.”
| Ability | Remnant Dust | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 40,000 and 65,000 | slots five and six | |
| 60,000 | +1 max Sha-Chi Essence | |
| 85,000 | once per battle, stops one hit taking HP below 10% |
Why the parts fit
Both Phantom Edges are Martial, making Crude Radiant Heart a suitable replacement for one accessory. Crimson Resolve rewards quick attack strings, which the Dual-Wield fan delivers.
How to play it
Use the fan to build sigils, then trigger Fire Ice before a major exchange. To swap weapons, Aureate (One-Handed, 324 Damage, 120 Guard Break) and Freezing Chaos (324 Damage, 144 Status Effects) match Infernal Rouge’s Damage.
Upgrading weapons and Phantom Edges
At bells, use Remnant Dust and materials to upgrade weapons and Phantom Edges. The complete procedure appears on the weapon upgrade page.
In our run, for Dread Axe, the upgrade display listed level 12 stats of 649 Damage and 437 Guard Break; at level 13, the values would be 680 and 458, respectively.

Weapon level matters more than a few points of base Damage.
Soul Tempering and the Sanguine family
Soul Tempering adds a new art or effect to an item, using that item’s own Soul Tempering material. For the Sanguine family, it turns the blade into a new weapon. Sanguine becomes Infernal Rouge, Sanguine Reach becomes Blazing Edge, and Sanguine Twin becomes Shadowless Edge.
On Inanis’ Radiant Fan’s Soul Temper page, Nirvana is listed as a revive that occurs inside its field.
