The Insulated Crate is a container you search for loot, and what one holds differs from the next. Its contents include Cloth, Oil, Rope, Scrap, Batteries, Components, Low Grade Fuel, Metal Junk, Plastic Junk, Rags, Stone and Wood, among other things.
The map has 20 Insulated Crate spots. Crater has the most nearby, with 6, followed by Water Tower with 3 and Promenade (House Camp) with 2. Landscar Cave, Hunter's Glade and Woodcutters Outpost each have 1 close by, and 2 spots sit out in the open, away from any named place. A few crates are stocked by hand with gear such as Moon Cult clothing, a Mountain Backpack, a TR-22 Rudi, Electric Parts and an Insulin Vial. The crates on top of the 2 log watchtowers on the road to Hunter's Glade hold Moon Cult clothing. To get up there, build a foundation with stairs or a floor piece.
