Scrap is a basic resource in Permafrost: low-grade, corroded bits of metal. It matters less on its own than as a crafting ingredient, and it goes into ammunition, tools, lighting and better materials.

Scrap lies loose at 7 spots on the map, with 3 at Bunker Checkpoint and 2 at Crow's Nest, so those two places are worth a visit if you need it from the ground. It also turns up in frozen bodies, insulated crates, lockers, quality crates, safes and toolboxes, and Anna, Eric Hirsch and Logan Boyce stock it.
