In-game description
Methyl Alcohol is a food and drink item you should not count on as a drink. Its real worth lies in burning it and trading it. Drinking it costs you health, stamina and energy, and it lowers your cold resistance. It does clear Parasites, Infected Wound and Nasty Wound, so it can serve as a harsh cure when one of those is wearing you down. It also fetches a fair price from traders.
The map has 6 spots where it lies ready to pick up. Promenade (House Camp) holds 4 of them and the Church holds the other 2, so the Promenade is the better first stop. You can also turn it up while searching a Bag, Damaged Car, Damaged Van, Frozen body, Insulated Crate or Military crate. Eric Hirsch stocks it if you would rather buy than search.
