A survivor's first and best friend.
In-game description
Wood is a basic resource in Permafrost, one of the most dependable materials you rely on from the start of a run and throughout it. It is a plain crafting staple rather than anything rare.
The map has 34 Wood spots, and the biggest clusters are at Municipal Parking with 6 and the Convoy of Couriers with 5. Church and Technocrats Colony have 4 each, and a few more turn up at Nomad Camp and the Water Tower. Wood can also be found in Insulated Crates, Quality crates, Safes, Toolboxes and Wooden crates. If you would rather buy it, Anna, Eric Hirsch, the General Trader, Robyn, Sean and The Mule stock it. Wood goes into Coal and the Crude Bow, and into the full range of axes, pickaxes, shivs and sledgehammers in flint, copper and iron, so you will want a steady supply as you work through each tier of tools.
